    My package stuck in ppo box NY since last 3 weeks. They are coming up with a new untenable excuse every day. I had a fear that they are trying to scam me by keeping the package themselves.

    Didn't know that they are facing customs issue. To me they say you can contnue to import more there won't be any issue which i didn't believe. God knows what's the truth.

    They did call me and asked me to send ID and Address proof for customs clearance. They have also re-designed their website and have assigned new PPOBox numbers to previous account holders. However, three of my packages which reached NY early last week have all been delivered to me.

    Dear Customer

    We wish to share the information regarding the clearance of Mobile phones.

    The duty rate on mobile phones has increased to 18.18% on the assessable value.

    This will be effective on all the shipments with mobile phones arriving into our origin facilities from 23rd May 2015 onwards.

    Ppobox charged me 2948 Rs for 19.99 doller phone purchased from bestbuy.

    Saying the volumetric weight is 5.33 lbs.

    I think weight scale of ppobox is damaged.

    They have started charging as per Vol wt now. Got hit massively for my last shipment, since the seller used a Medium Flat rate box for shipping. Actual wt was only around 500g. But, was charged as per Vol wt ( 4.2 lbs )

    I am on ZVE, as soon as I delete any pre-install app or even disable any google app like play movies etc, I am getting "com.android.phone" process has stopped working msg.

    Previously on JB this issue was not there .

    What should I do ?

    Above ZVD unlock process is for CDMA or GSM, as I use GSM only.

    Also How to sop ZVE update from being downloaded,

    I tried renaming LGFOTA.apk to bak also OTAcerts.zip to bak..

    But phone sill downloads the upadate, this is costing me 3G data.

    I am fed up of this phone now.. please guide..

    Boot into recovery and do a factory reset and clear cache. This will erase all data.

    To prevent autodownload, rename following file.

    /system/app find qcrilmsgtunnel.apk, to qcrilmsgtunnel.apk.bak and REBOOT.

    Update: Earlier my phone was not updated. It showed Update successful but actually it was not.

    Next day my phone again showed me that an update is available for your device and downloaded a 140 MB update. After checking in About Phone, I got to know that the previous update was failed. Then I reflashed my droid maxx with 4.4.4 radio and installed update again. Now it worked and CDMA sim and data working fine now.

    Were you able to get WiFi tether working on this version?

    There have been delays with PPO services from little over a fortnight. Also there seems to be a customs issue again with them. Invoices are charged nearly double the amount of the same item of same value. Till 15th September, ICCworld was handling highest logistics ever in it's history but some RIMweb members have been overcharged recently. PPO says an increase of 4% on customs duty has been imposed of late amounting to 11% duty, but the 4% hike cannot be double the amount. Best would be to call them up before purchasing anything from US.

    There are severe delays with PPOBox at this moment. Packages delivered as early as 26th Sep, are yet to be updated and forwarded to India. There are a lot of complaints on their on wall on Facebook.

    Issue sorted now. Take Signature confirmation and Insurance, if you`re USPS with PPObox.

    That does not guarantee anything. As phonegeek mentioned earlier, USPS sign their own slips and then PPO collects shipments from postoffice. Full sarkaari. If the package is lost that signature confirmaion is sh1t and insurance is down the drain.

    If its an option use UPS, Fedex is very expensive. Never had issue with UPS. Also for me personally NJ offfice worked our better then NY, though there is more latency.

    Happy that you issue got resolved.

    Sorry. I meant insurance with PPO Box. If you can prove that package was delivered, at least you can argue that they are liable for any loss. Similar to SnS.

    ^ Old issue. M Craine is the local post man who signs the delivery slips. After that, person from PPOBOX visits the post office and pick all the parcels. Now, if post man signs the receipt and then he misplaces it, ppobox will say that they havent received the item.

    Push ppobox to contact post office and find out more about the package.

    Hi. Just spoke to both their NY office and USPS Mid-Town Post Office. Apparently, another package is also missing. They are sending someone to check with the Post office. Have also raised a complaint with both Mid Town Post Office and USPS Customer service.

    Any update you got? Wondering if I should use PPObox now.

    Anyone used Stackry or airmailpost? Any other recommended service? Want to ship a mobile...

    Fellow RIMWEB member was also affected. Initially, PPOBox denied that the parcel was delivered. Both of us had to call PPO NY and USPS Mid Town PO. Filed a complaint with the Post master and it turned up after nearly a week. Package has been delivered as of now. Everything intact.

    One of my colleague has the same phone and data was not working on his old sim on this phone. He bought a new sim card with series RGERUC0008***** and data is working now. Please find attached photo of the sim card.

    On this phone data works only on the sim cards with smaller design cards and does not work on the old design cards (Credit card sized cards).

    Did you friend add any APN settings for getting any data?

    RUIM works fine on it. i initially tried hot swapping from GSM to CDMA. that too works fine.

    data works on both CDMA and GSM

    RUIM accepted after reboot! no problem with data.

    Note: i tried GSM on Airtels precut nano sim.

    Which moto phone r u using. I have a verizon moto x and am not sure if I should update or not.

    It works fine with omh data and voice.

    Hi, Which series of SIM card are you using? My Droid Mini is not working on Android 4.4.4

    Is it working even after Reboot? I also have the same series SIM card. It works with Data, but only after using a GSM SIM. Does not get any Signal after reboot.

    Didn`t know M Craine is a USPS employee. Always thought he works for ICCWorld. Don`t know how they allow that over there, signing for a package without going to the address.
