  1. Yes, it would take time for the seller's topic to appear (as it need to be verified first) and more work for the moderator (hope the moderators & would-be moderators won't run away now :P), but I would prefer quality than quantity in the Sell topics.

That's some great suggestions dear Arun.

Making the selling system fool-proof will be the best we can do for the benefit of the community. And I will be more than happy to Moderate (more) buy / sell threads...as you know I already keep an eagle's eye on Buy / Sell topics. :)

  2. I am suggesting a neutral moderator to get involved in case seller is very new.

    Steps:

    1) seller informs moderator of sale thread.

    2) buyer pays the moderator

    3) moderator pays to seller once buyer confirms receipt of item. Either this approach, or set a limit of 50/100 posts for new sellers. That way we can avoid any issues

sorry to differ dipan bhai.. idea is good but impractical.. the moderator ends up with banging his head with an accountant to settle the accounts or what if there is a query by IT deptt. regarding numerous transactions..

    ^^^

Yes, I will be banging my head like this.....headbangps8.gif

I have a very negative feedback for Abhishek from one of my friends in Banglore. I not posted as I thought it is not good idea to spoil his name, but now regret that someone is suffering.

    ^^^

Buddy, if that was the case then you should have posted it in the forum and we would have taken care of that. I reqeust all the buyers to post feedback of all the purchases made from any seller on the forum.

How about 50-50 payment options for non reputed sellers? Half before reciept, half afterwards.

I don't think increasing minimum post count quota for seller will help much. They will find new ways to sell outside and that way the site will lose new sellers which in turn would mean that buyers here would lose offers that might have worked for them.

    ^^^

In Case the Seller is genuine and the buyer is new with minimum posts (say less than 10 or 20 posts).....then what will happen if the buyer do not pay the seller the balance amount after the receipt of the product ? For this we have to make guidelines for buyers also which is not the right way in our opinion.

Just my little suggestion arun sir, The seller should post a photo or attach a scanned image of shipping receipt so that the whole transaction would be smooth and trustworthy....

    ^^^

Yes, this is a great idea. A scanned image of shipping receipt would help a lot to make transactions smooth. Sellers can PM the scanned image to the buyer directly.

Mods should warn sellers for every bad review. If seller had more than three bad review, he should be barred from selling any item.

    ^^^

We do warn sellers if they have bad reviews in their feedback section. Such warnings are silent and could not be seen to members and in some cases we do warn openly when the issue is at extreme levels.

Also the rules for posting buy / sell thread are one and same for all, regardless to the seniority of the seller on the forum (including us, the moderators / super moderators). We have even warned most reputed sellers on the forum in the past for not abiding to buy / sell guidelines. Rest assured, we never allow any sell thread to appear on board which has been posted not as per the buy / sell guidelines.

However, we never had any absconding sellers. Most of the experience were of bad service.

    ^^^

Buddy, once we had that bad experience on the forum.....this is very old story.....the seller offered I-phone 8 or 16 gb (if I remember properly) at very cheap price and absconded for some time (some months). Buyer contacted him but his number was out of range, visited his house etc....after many months the buyer got his money back from him....(if I remember the amount was some Rs.50,000/-),,,,Now the seller is banned on the forum.....I'm not mentioning the names of both seller and buyer for obvious reasons. :)

Lesson learnt, if you have full faith and the seller has good reputation on the forum and is old member then you can go ahead with the deal. No matter whether the seller is a reputed seller or non-reputed....just check their feedback threads and you will have a clear idea. There are many non-reputed but good sellers present on the forum and those who are in Reputed Sellers Group today were in Non-Reputed Sellers group at some time.

Please note, still Rimweb and its Admin, Moderators and Super Moderators could not be held responsible if any deal gone bad between buyer and seller due to any reason.....All we can do is to offer our support to resolve the issue, but that too is not guaranteed. :)

  3. Mods, just got curious, I thought we need minimum 10 posts for making a listing in sell forum.. right?

I wonder why my question went unanswered...

Some trouble could have been saved?

Vishal Bhai, he did had completed 10 posts when he posted the thread. I even asked him to update his full profile to help buyers understand more about him....Check this :

  4. :previous:

i am sorry will make sure it doesnt happen again. it was not the tech fest that kept me from replying it was a another personal problem which was unexpected please understand, no need to be so harsh. and it was not beacuse of the status i already informed a fellow member also i will be coming here today and respond

Good to see you back Abhishek and providing the proper update here.....but in our opinion if you can keep personal problems aside from business then you will definitely earn more reputation here on the forum which will get you fruitful results in the future.

  5. Thanks friends for the appreciations....

For those who are unable to connect through Pennytel, could be due to the router they are using. In order to connect through Adsl Router you have to configure the Router for different Ports. I don't have enough information as of now for this. Will dig up the net and post it here as soon as I get the information.

  6. Friends, for those who are facing problems with PennyTel portal, there is one more workout for Calling over VoIP through Nimbuzz. Here is the procedure :

Open Nimbuzz on PC----->Click Options----->Select Call Service----->Insead of Nimbuzz Out, select Sip Provider----->Select Other----->Put your Username as PennyTel Number like 888xxxxxx----->Put Password----->In Domain put : sip.pennytel.com ----->In Proxy put : sip.pennytel.com----->Connect

That's it.....now you are ready to go. Enjoy! :)
