    1 - I got Boost mobile Sharp Aquos Crystal and unlocked it using XDA method.. Call and SMS work fine... data worked only once then it stopped. 3G signal comes n goes without any internet access. 3G logo comes intermittently but goes away the moment you try to access internet. Sim is RECRU series and worked great in data card... worked only once in the above phone.

    2- Every time i start the phone I get : "Initial Setup" window which eventually fails. How to avoid this from coming in every boot.

    3- There is a Software update notification coming up(while using WiFi) should i apply that or ignore? if ignore then how to stop it from coming again and again

    For ur 2nd problem i.e. handfree activation appearing aftr every boot..u yav to root it thn install root explorer thn in root folder go to system folder thn navigate to priv apps folder thr u will get an app sumthing like setupwizard.apk jus rename it as setupwizard.bak thats it.

    For 3rd problen we cant predict the results after update. For tht take the ccomplete backup of ur current rom and thn update. I think update will not affect ur programming but it totally depends on the method u used to unlock.

    1st problem resolved. there was some issue with the sim. Working on the 2nd part now. 3rd part the update. i applied and it improved the touch and multimedia fucntionality nothing else.

    If i root will i lose OTA updates? if i don't lose OTA can i still apply them(provided i am ready to take the risk)...

    RIM Gurus need help... this guy is selling Moto G 1st Gen which he says has SIM slot(no info about if data works) and with Micro SD card slot...

    As I can see it's a Verizon Phone in new packaging... So has Verizon Moto G been upgraded/Modified with these features?

    If his claims are true does it work out of the box with Reliance(along with data) ?

    this packing is used for 2nd gen Verizon Moto phones with 4G support and hence the sim slot... is there a possibility that the new Verizon Moto G 1st Gen phones also got sim slot n micro sd card slot

    It's sad that you have signal issue at your home, Did u try calling them to fix it? It might take months but it's worth a shot if the issue gets fixed...

    ​Underground travel in Metro does have issues but not so much may be it could be related to difference in handset(i am not sure though).

    ​I am amazed that you have issue with their customer service coz that's been one of the best I have ever seen from a Telecom operator...

    ​‹ One thing more they once agreed to the fact that they discriminate with customers in terms of waiting time for connecting to the customer care representative on the basis of the business he provides to the company (it is said that most operators do that) but they said we do not differentiate in the quality of service provided to the customers in any other way(may be that's not completely true... coz I am their old customer who provides them a good sum of business) and I rarely have to wait n their service is good to me...

    ​‹About the signal issue at your home, try contacting their nodal officer on mail n see what his response is...

    who said tata discontinued cdma services . i am using cdma tata in chennai, except delhi they provide cdma service under tata docomo name. so its very well active

    i never said they discontinued their services but they have turned off their towers in areas with less users... my friend who is a postpaid user of their Photon data card service for years was facing issue of no signal coz of that... he asked for a disconnection so they fixed the issue probably by turning the tower on after a couple of days... I get signals only near his area... and only in certain other areas... Since MTS was using their service for roaming i was facing the issue in roaming and MTS confirmed the same...

    But now it works fine... don't know why but may be they partnered Reliance for roaming... I am not sure about this though...

    MTS in Delhi is absolutely brilliant... Call charges... connectivity everything is awesome except their data packs which are so confusing and expensive that i have never used them...
    Roaming in Delhi/NCR is not an issue... I have used their services in Gurgaon, NOIDA, G. NOIDA, Ghaziabad without any issues...
    Even in UP West no issues in roaming... I had issues in roaming for 6-7 months in UP East where they were dependent on Tata who switched off their towers in many areas.
    that has been resolved since last month, don't know who is giving them roaming now but it works...

    Plans for new customers are too good... i checked last month and it was 150 Sim cost with 130 talktime and 1 year call tariff @ 30p/min local or std with no FUP.

    Again data packs are their Achilles heel and Pan-India availability is another issue... If your main purpose is calling specially in Delhi/NCR then go ahead with MTS...
    About data some other member might shed more light on that... even i am looking forward to that...

    Last but not the least I am using it for 4 years now... Only once had a weird issue of no outgoing calls despite having plenty of balance I called them and many of their engineers worked for hours to find out the issue n fixed it....

    Best part : No useless activation of services till date! No stupid balance deduction for 4 years...
