    Thanks for your help. For the custom Rom do i need to update firmware? Everytime I try it doesn't update. The HTC Sync Manager just says sending for a long time and I have to reboot.

    I am having the same vdm client error with Android version 4.4.3 and Software version 2.16.654.4. I have rooted it but firewater doesn't let me s-off. Any help would be appreciated.
