simply open a dos window (cmd.exe on NT platforms and command.com in 9x) and there type ping -t www.yahoo.com or any domain of Ur choice - when connected. keep the window open till U want dormancy to be disabled. You can search this forum for more details on this.

I haven't tried that - but even with a single entry my 7130 sometimes displays the correct number but wrong Name(First one from the Recieved calls list) for a second or even two before it shows the prper entry ...

Well - One more option I think U can try installing some MODifiction for this ipb so that only the posts that are actually read are marked as "Read" _ but I guess needs good knowlegde of php or whatever ipb uses ..

first of all bitpim fails to overwrite that file and throws an exception. even then I believe that files in prl and nvm dir are protected from external alteration.. I may be wrong though (cloning veterans may throw more light!!)

Yes and it is designed for economy of thier networks and it really makes Ur speeds slow - each resume takes a few seconds and then the time for the server U called (browsed to respond). Further more 7130 has a bug in that it frequenlty and repeatedly goes back and forth dormancy for even a fraction of second of data halt creating a real nuiscance when U r downloading a file(works like a choke )

I was trying a brilliant/??stupidest idea - sending sms to a email address Goto the sms directory using Bitpim.. In a sms U recieved from a GSM - You can edit the sender's number with a hex editor and replace it with the email address. Close bitpim. Now goto the mobile SMS menu Openmessage. Select the option reply. Type the New message of Ur choice and send it ... SMS/Mail is delivered to the destination email box The obvious limitation is the length of the email ID and most of the ID's can't be used. Now I am not a php/perl expert - but if one has his own mail server I thnk he/she can write a script to check for a authenicode info at the end of the SMS'mail and if present then send mail with the SMS contents to the email address which is present at the end of the SMS ... So you can mail is available anywhere even if R-World goes paid and U don't wnat to use it, and once setup it can be very fast and simple as any SMS Try all this at Ur own risk.. But U SHOULD KNOW THE LIMITATION... Never exceed the phone number space in the SMS (Don't use INSERT in the hex Editor). I did and I think now lost my board as it never booted up again I think the cause is that the oversized email address string corrupted the files where recent numbers are stored which is subject to a lot of "fraud checking" Wish me Good luck...

BAL is Brew App Loader available as part of brew SDK by Quallcomm - I think u can get hold of only this exe or it's modified version called Gagin by doing a Google search. It doesn't work on 7130 so may be try it on 2130 and especially samsung ...

Dunno about LG sets of reliance - and I am not a tech expert either - but I rember to have seen circuit diagrams for making boards to flash Nokia and samsung phones and a software and firmwares too using real serial ports of Ur comp - quite sometime back ....

It is stored in nvm directory which is highly protected by the system. U can't overwrite. I already burnt my board and don't want to do that again...
