Yes...it is hard to imagine if Reliance was my primary number.
I dont even get GSM network inside my drawing room. Even Aircel has way better converge than Reliance here.

Theoretically, RGSM cant deny port out...but then they should not have denied data connectivity (As happened during CDMA -> 3G switch). It is difficult to assume when it comes to reliance...anyways...lets see how it goes.
Right now the projected tariffs would drive customers away....as airtel is offering better services and prices.
These are highly impractical rates, if these are final ones.
Guys....once we are in GSM/3G/LTE domain...as Reliance has forced us to....we are in open market.
No more buying expensive CDMA/EVDO handsets and bearing reliance behavior.... so as soon as reliance behaves irrationally...people are gonna jump ship.
I am sticking to reliance for now...as my postpaid plan is the same as earlier with same services. Coverage is bad but i never used reliance as primary connection anyways...just for data.

IMHO....Motorola G4 seems perfect. Big battery with Moto brand and guaranteed system updates.

850 or band 5 would also be used for LTE.

Battery/heat requirements are based on lot of factors ( eg frequency, tower density ).
It is incorrect to simply say that phones would need 8000 mah/ heat sink to support this.

Can anybody tell any phone in which both sim supports 4g at same time dual active?Phone hardware is developed according to needs. Can you imagine a scenario where you would be using 2 LTE data connections simultaneously or 2 volte calls concurrently?

Udtha punjab Censor copy is out even before film release...

Go for Xiaomi...
- Rom, software support is way better.
- Has better history of software upgrades....gives phone longetivity.
- 3rd part rom support/OS upgrades is also there.
Gionee is done after they sell the phone....rom upgrades only if the phone is selling in market and only when the bugs are too big to ignore.
In my view...Moto G plus is way better than any of the handsets in all respects.

Just now, ::: VA ::: said:Are you suggesting LTE bands or gsm bands?
I don't mind tinkering, in fact I love it. Please suggest links!

I mean both ... gsm and LTE.
Here are some :
http://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-one/general/guide-unlock-aditional-bands-qualcomm-t2877031
These procedures are rather general, and not exactly mapped to the phone. Please try and find one specific to your phone...in any case you can try the one listed above.
I have these tools...though they are also available on internet through file sharing site...let me know if you have difficulty in finding them...i ll upload them.

I know what a world phone is and I can assure you desire 510 isn't that!
These handsets have had sim slots for few years now.

VA,
I am not sure if this handset would run RGSM sim or not...the specs shared by you refreing GSM areana says it would. Try it out by inserting a RGSM or any other sim.
The only productive input i can give you is that bands can be unlocked...i can share XDA links and tools if you want. It would require some tinkering and some risk taking...but it is worth it.
Let me know if you need help in this.

I am getting 2 email notifications for every message posted on "Reliance CDMA Network Upgrade To 4G LTE". Not a dealbreaker...but seems a bug.
Thanks.

Its **** like the one I bought a few months back of LAVA of around 6k and sold it for 4k in 5 days. But if you see the services...they are charging you for services and giving you a **** phone for free. assume that! I have stopped using my broadband, could have stopped calling as well were it not for MNP not being transferred and RCOM plan being of 1299 with 50% discount, where everything is unlimited.
I get speed of around 50Mbps, and least around 5. Average is above 25mbps in Delhi. I pay 999/- for 1 mbps plan which is erratic for 50% times. So this is a good worth, if you see that ways...and most importantly I travel a lot. A LOT. And I got 60Mbps in Patna Junction area, and on average around 20 Mbps in entire Patna. In Chennai, it averaged around 10. In Chandigarh I got 20. So that's it!
I agree....5k for 3 months...1.7 k a month for unlimited and uncapped internet....it still beats MTNL/AIRTEL and many other ISPs out there.

In cdma, i got speed upto 700 kbps, not more than that. But now, even if it is not 4g, speed is 1.5 -2 mbps.
No significance drop in voice quality and this is very shocking (positively).
Freedom from imported handsets and freedom to use any handset without looking for cdma factor, or hotspot feature.
With respect to data... i am better off in terms of speed.
Earlier i used to get max 135 kiloBytes per sec....speed was capped.
Now with 3G ...i am getting in excess of 250kilo bytes per sec.
I still rue wasting my evdo capable handset and data dongle...but with this speed i am overall happy.

1 hour ago, zanaka said:Forgot to add that I have come to know, that even after getting the sim "patched", the sim still does not work with every 4G phone out there.
Maybe its a problem with LTE bands, not sure.
Again...when LTE is not live....why would LTE bands matter?

51 minutes ago, zanaka said:OK update for Delhi circle guys....
My 4G sim was and is still not working in Lenovo A6000Plus ( service/calls working, data not working ).
I tried in another 4G phone......Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G and both voice and data are working.
Infact, I got a speed of around 6.7 mbps on Redmi Note which is significantly higher than the current 3G model I am using where I got a speed of around 3-3.5 mbps.
So the sim may work on a few 4G models and not work on a few, but that doesn't mean that there would be a problem with the sim. It can also be a handset configuration problem with the Reliance 4G bands, which seems to be the case for me in the Lenovo handset.
Also my sim is 04/2016 without any patch required ( since my data was working right from the time when I put the sim in the 3G handset which I am currently using )
Zack,
Sim update is very much needed for faulty sims ... doesnt matter in how many handsets you put in.
Procedure to test whether you need a sim patch :
- Put 4g sim in a good 2G/3G compatible handset
- Check APNs, if you dont have rcomnet as APN, create one. Enable this apn
- Enable data.
- Data should work now, if it doesnt, get your sim replaced/patched
Right now you are using 3G, which doesnt need a 4G handset...so even a 3-4 year old smartphone would work. We are still awaiting 4G, when RCOM launches it i am sure we ll get to hear about it.

AT my nearest store, they needed ID proof to replace SIMs..thats why i opted for patching.

I was not getting any data at all. You might need to search and choose reliance 3g manually.
You dont need the sim patch.
