  1. Windows XP Unable to Install Serial Port driver Qualcomm HS-USB Android DIAG 901D (COM11)

    • Mobile Set: Qualcomm MSM 8610 (Flattened Device Tree), Android 4.4.2, Build Name: E619_Haier_Reliance_S07.
    • Desktop: OS Microsoft Windows XP Professional, Version 5.1.2600 Service Pack 3 Build 2600.
    • Reliance Haier E619 Debugged.
I have downloaded E619_Haier_Reliance_S06 drivers as well as Haier_E619_USB_Driver from http://haiermobiles.com/software-drivers/ and http://haiermobiles.com/index.php/download-software-and-drivers respectively,
then followed the steps for driver installation from the guide available at the URL http://haiermobiles.com/software-drivers/E619_S06_SD_Card_Version_Download_Guide_Final_5Nov2014.pdf
but when I select the relevant location of the downloaded drivers in my PC, XP unable to install the device.
In device manager, I can see Hardware ids for the devices as follows:-
    USB\VID_05C6&PID_901D&REV_0228&MI_00
    USB\VID_05C6&PID_901D&MI_00
    USB\VID_05C6&PID_901D&REV_0228&MI_01
    USB\VID_05C6&PID_901D&MI_01
I have successfully Updated the Android System of said Mobile Set, enabled Developer Mode and Debugging, where the User Manual of the Mobile set mentions, "You need to plug using the data cable to the computer to use handset for data connection sharing through USB port" but Its not working with my PC. I have visited relevant Haier Service Centers, also written to Haier Service Head but they have been ignored to address the issue reasonably.
    1. Can anyone please guide me in installing the devices?
    2. Do I need to download specific driver/s for the same?
Please guide me to install the USB Cable successfully so that said Smartphone can interact with the PC.
    Thanks

You need to get hold of any working QPST drivers....lets say for galaxy/nexus....In the INF files, you need to replace the PID and VID.

Looking a the screen shots....i think if you need qpst....you need to enable it from adb using setprop....but you need adb first.

If you are not abel to find adb drivers, then get the generic google usb driver.

  2. How did this work out...i like the kind of hackery you are doing.

Try connecting analog AV inputs when this happens....If you get video there, then problem with be with the replacement caps. Analog is less sensitive to voltage fluctuations due to caps...but digital / hdmi is very sensitive.

I am using Videocon, it has a serial port....i am yet to get any issues (touchwoood!) but i guess it would be helpuful in such scenarios. Do you have it on yours?

Just as i suspected, capacitors were the issue.. Changed 7 of them..now stb is working again.
But one problem does remain, at times video goes away , but i can hear the audio . then i need to reset the stb. Then it starts working again.
Any idea where i should look - troubleshoot?

  3. Hey....any clarity on 4g upgrade?

I am in Delhi, got a 4G sim by courier....it said that sms sim no to 299....did that 2 days ago...waiting for 4g upgrade...

Has the 4G upgrade happened for any of you yet?

Okay so I got a call from reliance saying that I can upgrade to 4G network right now by getting a 4G sim from any reliance store and sending an sms.

They will stop the EvDo network within a couple of days and all the cdma phones will drop to 1x only.

Calls on the 4G network will not be 4G for now, but will use reliance gsm 2G here for calling.

Cdma services will stop totally from May 31st.

And the outlets dont have any 4G sims yet, they say they should arrive within a couple of days.

Bad news I guess for the unlimited plan users like myself.

  5. Is HTC desire 510 a good buy?

I recently bought and returned Swipe sonic eg4 .... the peak speed which i was getting was only 1mbps that too fluctuating.

In the morning the phone refused to power up....so returned it....

I would really appreciate if comeone can recommend a good phone or dongle with Rev B ...thanks.
