Bharti Airtel has introduced "Super Lifetime Prepaid" with a Re 1 outgoing local tariff for life

Beginning today, "Super Lifetime Prepaid" is available to both existing and new Airtel customers.

Under the plan, customers can stay mobile by paying just Rs 999. They need to use a minimum of Rs 200 every 180 days to continue enjoying benefits of lifetime validity.

For existing Rs 999 Lifetime and Easy Lifetime customers, the offer comes free-of-charge.

While the Rs 495 Lifetime prepaid customers can avail the offer by re-charging with Rs 504.

Sanjay Kapoor, president (Mobile Services) of Bharti Airtel, said the new plan marks their intent of making mobile telephony more affordable among the masses.

It seems to be a good initiative taken by Airtel my dear friends. Re.1/- for outgoing local calls seems to be cool. Hope that Reliance too will follow the suit soon.

And as we all knows Vodafone the biggest looter will follow this suit only in the end, when all other operators had reduced the tariffs.

Regards.

The plan is not so great..

It requires at least Rs.200/- spend in 180 days i.e. thre months.

while some of the other lifetime plans do not have any such minimum committement..

Secondly it can only give benefts on the calls terminationg on its own network, so we need to get more details on the same... before we reach a judgement..

Actually, my dear friends, I think that this scheme would be great for many users.

Especially for those who use there mobiles for incoming calls and PCO for outgoing. After subscribing to this scheme they can call @ Re.1/- from their mobiles only. No need to go to the PCO.

Regards.

Its a last ditch effort of Airtel to increase Minutes of Usage. Its not that they have suddenly woken upto the fact that the local and std rates are ridiculously high on lifetime plans.

My dear friends, slowly and steadily each and every operator will launch this scheme, and Vodafone obviously will launch it in the last.
