@prasanna

My dear friend, I think you have to first make your jpg image resolution same as your handset supports. Than only you can transfer your images to the phone.

Regards.

Hello All

I am using the new PC sync Software downloaded from http://lgmobiles.com

As per the Help available with this software only image resolutions of size

-- 640 x 480

--320x240

--160x120

-- 128x128

Can be downloaded from my PC to cellphone

Has anyone succeeded in downloading the images with original resolutions with this Software ??

(Version LG desktop version 2.0)

If My friend is trying to send any jpg images from his Nokia 6275 (CDMA) handset via bluetooth to me my phone goes in infinite loop saying it is receiving files

While from his same h/s he can send images to other GSM phones there are no issues..

So I think it is an issue with LG RD 6600 .. :angry:

My second Issue is that LG sync software Does not detect USB ports :NOTriste:

Only after I unplug and replug my USB DataCable several times it gets connected to phone

Also I have seen various Posts on this forum on DataCable of 6600 But

Main Problem with this is its USB drivers are not properly working on any PC

( Some have also got workaround by using USB to serial converter and using serial port in configuration of Sync Software !!

this did not work out for me.. )

But it does detect USB port after several attempts

I wonder If this is how a Company like LG releases its software without any testing !!! :Confuso:

@prasanna

My dear friend, this could be the problem of the resolution compatibility. The images which your friend tries to send you must be of higher resolution then your handset supports.

Hey friends,

LG RD 6600 supports resolution of 176X220 (HQ) wallpapers perfectly and displays beautifully on screen. I have a collection of 1000 wallpapers for this phone. If any of you needs it, I can post download link for it. To transfer the images it's better to send images to phone using LG desktop SW and data cable, it will rename it automatically as per phone's system.

Thanks...

Hi Prasanna,

I had the similar problem with 6600. Just do one thing.

Use any image editor (e.g. ACDSee) and crop your favourite image with resolution 176X220. i.e. width 176 and height 220. Copy it to your LG PC sync's image directory and then transfer it to phone.

You have to do nothing more than that.....

Let me know if it solves your problem....

The image related with the phonebook entry CANNOT be assigned in this manner.

You have to go to the particular entry in the phone edit contact and click an image form there. It will only accept those photographs.

Moreover as far as I have tried LG is not supported by Vista totally, however cannot confirm as I last tried this last June, since then I use XP for PC Sync

Step which I m following

1. select contents icons

2. Picture radio button is pre-selected so no need to select again

3. double clicked on image folder .

4. say connect now

5. it will show as reading from phone

then it will wait for generating list.

and right side menu, i am getting list.

BUT this list stays there only for 1/2 minute then it becomes empty.

If i am selecting all the images and selected to move data to computer (push button for with left side arrow)

.....Very hard but i have did it, but immediately after 1/2 minute, list has disappeared and nothing has been visible.

:NOTriste::NOTriste::NOTriste::NOTriste::NOTriste::NOTriste::NOTriste::NOTriste:

I have tried to load this software in xp and that machine also crashed at the time of connecting the phone :confuse:

well, i tried playing with photographs in the address book

If you want to assign a particular photo to a contact in the address book, the size of the image has to compulsorily be 96pix x 96 pix, it wont accept anything other than that for address book photo

about the connection issues try reinstalling the pc suite by downloading from lgmobiles.com

However i will let you know after trying it on vista
