Blackberry 8830 On Tataindicom... Support With Gsm Network?

Hi Sadikk,

First of all i wud like to thank you for providing solutions to lots of users regarding blackberry... its amazing..

I bought 8830 from Tata Indicom, wud like to know if by anyways it cud work for my Vodafone number, if yes :

1. How can i use it on same phone?

1. wud it be possible for me to use all handheld feature on vodafone as well.

^^^ As its not possible for a locked CDMA (TATA/RComm) to work with GSM, therefore..

Cant it be unlocked by any means and den cud be used with GSM networkk???

^^^^ Maybe not for something as complicated & expensive as BB in India.

These 'open/unlocked' sets are picked up cheaper from the US & other countries where operators follow an agreement system with Customers (free phone) which is binding for 12/24 months etc. You now know what happens to these agreements.

Although not all phones fall in this bracket, they're anyways 'unlocked' somehow & shipped for everyone to benefit !

One can still do it for BB's bought in India.. but they have to pay a full price unless you trick TATA into 20 BB phones EMI scheme & dupe them. :grin:

The above info is only for his info.. hundreds of ppl do it.

Its perfectly legal india then there's no problem right.

Not pointing fingers at anyone when everything is clean. (You too have clarified this with me earlier)

u can use vodafone sim card ...

secondly since vodafone provides bb services so u can use all features
