Help Needed To Downgrade Hboot

Recommended Posts

I had rooted and flashed the leaked Froyo 2.2 ROM on my Droid Incredible

F0llowing the link http://androidforums.com/all-things-root-incredible/123816-how-revert-back-earlier-version-hboot.html,I've downgraded to stock 2.1-update1 and Baseband version 1.00.03.04.06, but my hboot version is not downgraded and is still .79. Can I upgrade to 2.2 when OTA comes, or should I try some other method to downgrade hboot.

Everything happens as per the link mentioned above till the point where it asks to run code 'fastboot devices'. On running fastboot devices the silver HTC logo appears and then nothing happens. As mentioned in the link I deleted everything from the 'temp' folder and started RUU again, copied the extracted files to another location and updated 'adb','fastboot''adbwinapi.dll'.

On running 'ARUWizard' it throws 'low battery error'. On exiting , handset restarts.

Now I renamed the extracted 'rom.zip' file as 'PB31IMG' and copied to sdcard root. After this on rebooting to recovery mode I got back to stock 2.1 with downgraded radio, but hboot did not downgrade.

Kindly advice if anything needs to be done

why do u want to downgrade hboot

if downgrading radio is all u want

you dont need to downgrade hboot if u on 0.79 / 0.77

what partitions u have are perfect

just S-OFF and load any radio of ur choice ( of incredibl)

Sorry, loss of sound was only bcoz media volume was low,

On increasing media volume everything works fine - and yeah

now my YouTube works great without a single buffer

I accidently went to the hoot menu to check version without first deletingPBIMG1.zip

from the sdcard.though it started verifying the zip I didn't apply it.

But after this I have lost sound while playing music or YouTube.

Should I root again and apply PBIMG1.zip to regain sound, or does it run the risk

Of applying the same radio again

Thanks and regards

As mentioned earlier checking media volume

solved the issue(stupid of me for missing this)

Doc plzzzzz help me with evdo activation,

don't worry, you won't lose your exclusivity,

as most people in the forum are not on Tata like me (just joking!)

If you guide me, maybe I can try thing or

two using my contacts in the company ( being

a postpaid channel partner)

Thanks and regards
