Switching between CDMA and GSM on BlackBerry 8830

Hi friends ,

I have a BB8830 sprint and was on a data plan which has stopped working

I want to know if i can do the following -

As my no is programmed on my BB8830 and the sim slot is empty so i was planing to put a gsm sim in the slot and when i want ot use the data i will forward my cdma connection to the GSM connection and switch the mode as gsm

and when the data use is done i will switch to cdma and disable forwarding this way i wont lose on calls and use cheap data also

now if i am using a gsm say Docomo 99 plan how do i configure my data for gsm on the 8830 what will be the settings and changes required

you need to change APN and re install the browser, as some time while switching between gsm and cdma, browser get lost,

or your can use OPERA  / BOLT as alternate option

hi hitesh thanks for the response

so if i just insert the gsm sim and start using data on opera or do i need to change apn

and how do i change the apn can you pls list down the steps

Options > Advanced Options > TCP

here you can change APN Name, Username & Password..
