Honest 836 Report post Posted December 1, 2010 Windows Phone 7 Coming to Acer Handsets Acer phone users might always be pushed into a state of confusion when it concerns Operating Systems. You can't really blame them though, because Acer seems to be changing Operating Systems as often as the climate changes in a year! Acer CEO, Gianfranco Lanci, has confirmed that they are now working on Windows Phone 7. In an interview with Ina Fried, Gianfranco touched briefly upon the company's plans for Microsoft's new OS, after an ill-fated stint with Windows Mobile not so long ago. Android fans and lovers don’t have to worry though, because this sudden addition of Windows Phone 7 will not be at the expense of Acer’s love for Android. And if you’re surprised with number of OS's that Acer have been using, you need to check out the interview to see how many more they’re planning to add - from MeeGo to Google Chrome OS and more. It’s cool to make phones using different OS’s - it certainly adds variety and gives people more options to choose from. But while it keeps end-users happy, it just increases developer workload.
