Recommended Posts

Hey... Good news.

I also had the problem of no radio in my nexus s4g.. Reading through this, i flashed stock ics rom using ODIN along with EFS clear option checked and VOILA... the radio is all OK after flashing.

Cool.

I love this forum.

Mine main problem is Odin is not connecting - I am about to try flash boot method

is fastboot working? ...if it is ..then flash the ROM again via fastboot and install the radio again! ;) ...have fun

http://forums.androi...ion-method.html

tried this method - it did flashed but failed to start radio tried twice

Wanted to know that if there is some conflicts in MIN / MDN / MEID / ESN - the radio shuts down

is this the possibility that i have missed some parameter in programing

in this case any way to connect to PC and check via Fastboot as COM port is not working

If you want to reset the MEID/ESN to factory values then there's a linux cmd in android shell to do that unconditionally. Only if you haven't changed either of these values. Will search and post. Don't know if you are able to get an ADB shell on your nexus though ?

If you can get it to bootloader mode then you can push the kernel from pc and it boots (i think its the same as fastboot)

If even fastboot is not working then you can push a linux kernel for nexus to boot it to linux and then chroot to the android file system. But this requires you to first copy a big file to the nexus. Can that be done ? ie. can you mount the storage in bootloader /recovery mode ?

BTW, ^ Is that Taylor Swift ? very distracting ..... Am scrolling up and down this post to keep seeing the pics you post. How do you find them ?

Radio.img for ICS 4.0.4 ( extracted from latest IMM76D)

Rename to radio.img

Flash in fastboot using...

"fastboot flash radio radio.img" ( write radio 2 times ) ( without commas)

*If your having problems after the radio flash......go to dialer:

Type in *#*#72786#*#*, put your msl in, and let it re-provision

*Make sure the radio.img you are flashing is in your \android\tools

Finally - y'day it got connected and Radio started

What went wrong in the set in first place

I had copied the NAM programing from Moto Maxx and then written to Nexus 4G

as per discussion with Kalpak Sir - there are many non relevant fields in MAxx moto - to when there is a conflict in NAM parameters the Radio turns Off

What i tried

Tried Odin in set turned on - Failed because it was not connecting to com port since radio was off

Tried Update by keeping Files in SD card and doin in Fast boot mode

Tried Fast boot Updating and flashing radio

Where i was going wrong

I always complained that its not connecting in Download mode - many friends have mentioned it that tnere is no reason it should, i was putting in DL mode by Vol up + down and very long holding Power

Infact its Up + down and Power for just 2-3 sec - when i did this bingo i went in DL mode

then ODIN in DL mode worked and since i had messed up NAM i had checked: Phone EFS clear (thanks to Kalpak sir) this clears all NAM to factory

Thank you Section

I'm glad I could help. The same problem I faced when I unknowingly flashed GALAXY SIII nam on my epic. Did exactly what you mentioned.
