QUOTE from the above article - ...New entrants such as Unitech, Etisalat, Sistema and Videocon said they were shocked that TRAI had cut termination charges by only 33% and added that it was "too little to create a level-playing field with existing operators". Mr Raja has since maintained that a further reduction in termination charges was vital towards ensuring his dream of consumers enjoying local calls at 10 paise/minute and STD calls at 25 paise. So far, large GSM operators had strongly opposed any further reduction in termination charges as they feared that this would further impact their revenues and profits....

Google Launched two new Nexus Source: CNET The Nexus 5X is one of two brand-new smartphones that come with Google's latest operating system, Android 6.0 Marshmallow. There's the smaller Nexus 5X, a 5.2-inch smartphone made by LG, and the larger Nexus 6P, a larger 5.7-inch smartphone made by Huawei. Even though both of them are constructed by outside companies, they are part of Google's Nexus program -- which means they were designed in conjunction with Google to be a pure Android experience. They'll be the first to get new software updates. They also both work with Google's exciting new Project Fi wireless service, which combines Wi-Fi and cellular signals from multiple carriers (in the United States, T-Mobile and Sprint) to make sure your phone is never without a data connection. Previously, Project Fi was only available on the gigantic Nexus 6. I think it would have been better if TRAI had suggested that reduced speed should not be below the 1/4th of highest plan speed. ie if you opted for 8Mbps then speed should not be less than 2Mbps, for 4Mbps and so on. currently irrespective of your plan, once you reached your data limit, speed drops to 256kbps which is not a broadband as per new definition.
