The coverage range won't make much difference. The difference is in the speed which will impact you only if you are looking for internal file transfer (between your PCs), not for internet usage as connection speeds are usually below 4 mbps.

Do you have the NV dump file? If yes, then check the first post for the steps to upload it. If you don't have then contact your handset seller to get it. If you can't get it from your handset seller then contact any one from the reputed seller list. Exactly as mentioned in the Q&A that you quoted above which I think is pretty clear. -

RBI cannot force restriction on a payment gateway/merchant that is not based in India. If they restrict Credit Card companies from password less transactions completely, then many international online transactions would not be possible.

By "verification password" are you referring to the Credit Card's security password (SecureCode)? Many international online payment gateways do not require that and can process payments without SecureCode. It was made mandatory by RBI only for e-commerce merchants in India and Google Checkout is not based in India. You can enable “Use PIN for purchases" option in Google Play Store app's Settings to prevent that in future.

If *228 activation did not go through and you requested for EVDO activation, it will not get activated properly. You will need to sort out the *228 activation and then request for EVDO activation.

So either EVDO is not activated or EVDO is not available in your area. If you are sure it's available then contact your handset seller for the activation.

When you get the handset from the seller, ask for the NV dump file also. If it gets erased when you wipe or for some other reason, you can always restore it. Make sure you read the FAQ topic (linked on top of all pages) before you buy.

It was saved earlier with 09 format when the name was not showing in the incoming call display screen. It started showing the name (with number format as 0091) after I deleted the contact and added it again (09 format). Not sure if its the same situation with other numbers that show up as 0091.

I have to check it with some other number that shows up 0091 format. Weird that the issue was resolved for that particular number at least after I re-added the contact in phone book.

It isn't a virus, but a spammer posting spam topics and posts. Since moderation preview is ON, they were not published and not accessible through the forum. The current homepage can't avoid unpublished topics listing as discussed earlier in this topic. The new homepage (which is already ready but needs to be implemented and is in my To-Do list) should not show unpublished topics.
