  1. DADP Self-testing Tools For J2me Applications

there are a few useful things on the dadp website. One is the handset specs file - its an excel file containing detailed comparison of each reliance handset - good for decision making while buying a handset. One of the people in the forums have suggested disabling the jbrower given by reliance and using the phone's builtin browser. Would like to know if this is possible.
  2. Gtran vs Lg5130

just a correction here saurav.... LG support sync.. and the LGsync application is a real sync software not an import export tool like gtran.
  3. Outlook Sync

The PC Sync software supplied by GTRAN cannot sync with external programs like MS Outlook . LG software allowed you to do that - its quite handy to sync data with outlook. The sync software writes data in an MDB so it should be easy enough for someone to write a script to copy outlook data into the MDB. has anyone tried it out?
  4. Outlook Sync

the gtran software on the website does have a CSV import export tool... but the software still does not have true two way sync capability
  5. Distorted SMS problem

hey Greens, what is the latest version number? I have the same SMS word wrapping problem.
  6. Rworld On Gtran

if you cant open your MMS inbox, try a Reset Rwold and a Clear Memory - hopefully that should help
  7. Disadvantages of Gtran

the sms application in GTRAN is horrible - the one in LG is much better. Moreover, the eventhough the phone has over 1 Mb memory u can save only 17 msgs in inbox as opposed to 60 (30inbox+30archive) in LG. This phone could benefit from an upgrade in software. I am more satisfied with the Rwrold on gtran then on the LG moonlight. The moonlight doesnt have enough memory and doesnt load many applications. The gtran works like a charm. The biggest advantages are RUIM, ringtones and the colour LCD.
  8. Connect Gtran To Pc

get the new version of PC Sync from the Gtran website - http://www.gtranindia.com/GTRANPCSyncTool.exe As far as i can see its got one new feature - you can import/export CSV files.
  9. Gtran-usb Installation

hi all! Here is how you install the driver for GTRAN. Just right click the Qualcom question mark and choose Install Driver or Update Driver button. In the next box choose manually select a driver. The driver path is there in C:\Program Files\GTRAN\GTRAN PC Sync Tool\Driver\gtmdm2k.inf (assuming you installed the GTRAN sync software to c:\program files\GTRAN... change it as appropriate). If you have not installed the GTRAN PC Sync software, do so from the CD that comes with the package. The driver will report GTRAN USB Modem and install successfully.
  10. Rworld On Gtran

hi all! Just bought a GTRAN phone yesterday - upgraded from an LG moonlight. Its a brilliant phone.... great features some people on the forum have complained about the MMS features of this phone - well, i have been able to use the MMS preety normally - inbox, sending, everything. However i face a bit of a problem with all r-world apps - when i first select the app the screen shows "Please wait..." (i think the jar files get downloaded during this time) and then shows a msg "RWorld Not ready". If i select the same app again it runs the downloaded file and i can access it. its quite annoying to select each option twice. Anybody else facing this problem?
