  1. I'm offering the following two items for free. I'd prefer to conduct a lottery for these after a few days, may be after a week. In the mean time, I'll get them packed and will check the shipping charges. I'd like to have the amount transferred to my account which I'll apprise to the winners through PM. 1. External batter charger cum cradle for Samsung Fascinate / Mesmerize. This is Korean made which I bought from the US and used very sparingly. It is helpful for those who have extra battery for Fascinate/ Mesmerize 2. Micromax Canvas HD flip cover. It's brand new. I bought a flip cover for a Samsung Galaxy Mega 5.8 but the seller shipped this by mistake. This is redundant to me.

    The beta version had glitches and this official one isn't error free either. Sometimes it is showing wrong time of sent messages. The emoticons are so small that it needs magnifying glass to get it noticed. BBM in its present form cannot be a replacement of today's whatsapp. Anyways, a healthy competition is always welcome which can compel Whatsapp to do away with its subscription.

  12. MTS becomes the first operator to receive the much awaited 3rd carrier in the 800 Mhz spectrum band from the Department of Telecom (DoT). A few days ago it became the first operator to receive unified licence which enabled it to provide technology neutral telecom services for a period of 20 years and hence can launch LTE without any problem. Now it can easily provide Rev B over this 3rd carrier. Link

  19. No, I've ported out of Tata when Tata closed its postpaid service here in rest of West Bengal circle. From my experience, I feel the problem is of Tata only. With 1X, data often overrides voice. That's why a caller gets busy tone. EvDO shouldn't have this problem. But I don't know, anything can happen with Tata. I used to use hTc Touch 6900 on which strange thing used to happen. While I used to dial a number, it would let me hear the called person's voice even if it was yet to be connected. This was an advantage that while ringing I could hear many secret things. After many months of this enjoyment, Tata stopped this free service to me.

    Tried CM 10.2 a number of times. Data signal vanishes with Anndroid 4.3 on US Cellular S3 (R530U). Reverted back to 4.2.2 on AOKP
  21. I'm so much relieved! However, in no case, whatever repeated relief I get on this issue, I'll refrain from recommending Shopclues products, the reasons are well known. If I recall correctly, Rajan ji flashed the news of arrest of Shopclues founder CEO in the US, making it vulnerable to deal on that site.
  22. MTS goes smarter once again after this article. They revised the unlimited data. It's now Rs.155 for 1GB+ unlimited 1X bundled with 50 minutes of local calls. I just received an SMS on this.

  24. ^^^ Your refund request will not be honoured, I'm afraid. Friends, buy at your own risk from shopclues. I had 877 cluebucks and was pondering what to do with those after the inside trading issue. Gradually I've succeeded to exhaust those cluebucks almost entirely (you cannot exhaust cluebucks entirely). However, here in our forum I've stopped highlighting any offer from shopclues as this is dangerous to do any further. I'll feel responsible if anybody gets ditched by shopclues in the long run. And if senior member like Rajan Mehta recommends anything, it's more likely that people will follow it blindfolded.
  25. I doubt whether the speaker is a bluetooth one or just wired one. Two of my friends use JBL portable speakers of the same design which are not BT wireless but with same design. Secondly the price is similar to the wired portable one available on other sites too including ebay. Thirdly, it is Shopclues which misses many commitments and carries many wrong info too. Those who are buying, please leave feedback here about this speaker whether it is bluetooth one or not.
