  7. Snapshots of various reviews on the net: Cnet Review gives it a three and a half star and calls it an “OK camera but a very good gadget”. The review says “Outside of its relatively high cost of ownership and average point-and-shoot picture quality, the Samsung Galaxy Camera definitely delivers the shoot-and-share experience of a smartphone with the features of a compact camera.” Engadget says “One feature that will cause little debate is the big, bright and extremely rich HD Super Clear LCD. It's only when you start taking photos through a window of this size -- perhaps on a Galaxy S III or a Galaxy Note II -- that you realize how much a large screen helps with framing and composition.” It also discusses the problem with audio when you record video. The report observes that “the only slight issue with video recording is that audio volume dips noticeably when you engage the zoom.” Android community concludes, “In short: the Samsung Galaxy Camera is a big win for Samsung, bringing a great mix of what their cameras without Android are able to bring to the party with all of the greatness of their Galaxy line of smartphones. This device is indeed a connected camera rather than a smartphone that just happens to have a great shooter, and with this assimilation comes a relatively new (though not entirely unique) product.” TechRadar has given this device a rating of 4.5 and calls the product “one of the biggest surprises from the Korean firm”. The review says “The other features, such as HDR mode, Beauty mode, Panorama and Smile Shot, all offer excellent picture quality if you're into that sort of thing - although we can't really see a use for Cartoon other than for those who want a blurry mess to show to friends.” Slashgear opines “The Samsung Galaxy Camera is a first-generation product, and they inevitably carry a compromise. In this case, it’s a case of price and expectations: do you spend your money on a great camera, or on a good camera with the added benefit of social options we simply haven’t seen offered on a point-and-shoot before? It’s undoubtedly a niche product, but the convenience and flexibility is addictive, and we’re left hoping Samsung sticks with the concept for at least a second-generation to broach the mass market.” The verdict from T3 says “While we were initially skeptical about the need for an Android-based camera, we were impressed with the Samsung Galaxy Camera. We particularly liked the snapper's physical design as well as the large, HD screen. We looking forward to testing the camera out in the wild.” The final word from DPReview says “The Samsung Galaxy S III is in many respects one of the currently most advanced smartphones and fun to use as a phone and as a camera. The Samsung is very responsive and allows for burst shooting and very fast shot-to-shot times. The camera app offers a very comprehensive feature set with an efficient HDR mode and a partly customizable user interface but the image quality is not quite up with the best in class. It's perfectly adequate for web-use and online sharing but if pixel-level quality is critical to you the class-leading Nokia 808 and (to a lesser degree) the iPhone 5 are currently the better bet.” Source

  9. How to stop SMS spam?

Some good news in the future? http://m.timesofindia.com/tech/tech-news/telecom/Harassed-Kapil-Sibal-promises-action-against-pesky-calls/articleshow/17019166.cms?intenttarget=no NEW DELHI: Pesky calls and messages are a menace not only for common people but also for Telecom Minister Kapil Sibal, who said that he too is a victim of the unsolicited communications and has discussed these issues with telecom regulator. "Trai is taking it up (pesky calls/SMSes issue). I also face lot of problem. Every two minutes I get such SMS," Sibal told reporters at the Worldwide Cybersecurity Summit here. "People...used international servers (to send such SMSes), but that also has been stopped. I met Trai Chairman. He will ensure that this is not going to happen anymore," he said. __ Sent from my mobile

Yes..Thanks Rajan Bhai ... I used 40501 which is the correct code for Reliance CDMA users in Andhra Pradesh. I successfully installed the app and tried to send the complaint. The complaint SMS is going ... but everytime I am getting the error message 'No Default configured' as a return SMS.
  11. How to stop SMS spam?

Yes you are right. But somehow the above app is not showing on my EPIC TOUCH. Maybe I have to try Market enabler or something. Thanks buddy.
  12. How to stop SMS spam?

Thanks, I just reactivated my DND. I sent an SMS with the message START 0 to 1909 But the website does not talk about SMS, is it only about calls or SMS also?
  13. How to stop SMS spam?

This wont work, because the app will only block SMS from particular numbers The spam I am receiving is from 'LMxxxxxx" or "DMxxxxxx" or similar. They dont have any number and we cant even reply SMS to these senders. Sorry, I didnt understand this part.
  14. Nice topic ..+1 for you __ Sent from my mobile

  16. Suggestion required for Foreign Holiday

    1. Considering this is my 1st foreign holiday, should i prefer package tour or get my bookings done myself. You can book your own flight tickets. Plan each day in advance. You can visit some travel agent to know more information about your destination. Then check online and then decide on your above question. www.tripadvisior.in is your friend. Use this to decide on hotel/destination. Try www.hotels.com for room rates/bookings and cleartrip.com for flight ticket rates. You will get a decent idea on budget within 15 minutes. 2. Considering I'm with a 4yr kid, am i right in preferring group package tour over individual customized package tour. I dont know abt this 3. Which locations would be preferred in my parameters. Definitely consider Dubai. 4. Which tour operator. If I am not buying my own tickets/bookings then I would go with someone reliable/proven as it saves a lot of jhik-jhik Consider Cox & kings
  17. I totally agree ... Even I use ext sd card only to store music/photos/videos .. When the internal memory gets full ... i just review and delete some stuff

  20. I am getting similar results with our excellent rooted FI03 ROM. 30% Batt left after 12 hrs of use. 51% used for voice calls 25% for screen. Battery life has definitely increased with this ROM
  21. Display quality and camera quality on my S2 Epic Touch is excellent !! Its one of the main plus points of this model. I have extensively used HTC incredible, Incredible 2 & Motorola Bionic. This phone display and camera is simply superb compared to them. Cant comment on Fascinate tho.
  22. That didnt go so smoothly for me ..um ..After ODIN green signal, my S2 was just showing the 4G logo for a very long time ... about 20 minutes ..So in spite of the warning that the 4G logo takes an unusually long time, I was forced to do a battery pull ..and re-start the process. This time after the green signal, during the boot-up, I disconnected the phone from the PC It worked. The Phone booted successfully and data and everything was intact. Thanks Joshm ..appreciate the effort. !! +1 for u !! Will update here on the battery efficiency with the new update
