  1. WiFi Range Extender

Bhai I asked you about N150 TP-Link TL-WN722N with antenna which is indeed with antenna. However point taken and I would rather settle with N150 TP-Link TL-WN722N with antenna i hope it will suffice my needs.
  2. WiFi Range Extender

Was really looking forward from input from you sir and yet again you do not disappoint me. The best quote here was Also for 300 mbps bonding to happen, your router should also be supporting the standard. That rules out N 300 completely. All I am concerned is about the range and not the speed as all I am going to use it for getting access to the network for internet connection. Again sir +1 for the explanation I don't think it can be explained any better. Kapil mere bhai you are right about b and n standard. Now what do you say about N150 TP-Link TL-WN722N with antenna can this be used for basically everything what you need for a pc when connected to you home internet like voip calls video streaming etc.
  3. Review: Motorola Photon 4G

Can you please shed some light on it. I am unable to do the conference in cdma or gsm using the stock setup.
  4. WiFi Range Extender

I too have an query here I am shifting my desktop pc from my living room to my bedroom. However the WIFI router is still in the living room. Now I understand that I would need a WIFI adapter for desktop to connect to the Wifi network however I get a very week signal in my bedroom (experienced through connecting cell phones from bedroom to wifi network). So i am in dilemma to chose the right wifi adapter i am confused about getting one with internal or external antenna as I am not sure if it will really make any difference. Also should i go for one with 150 mbs or 300 mbs speed in standard n. Following few are the once I have shortlisted. TPLINK TL-WN727N TP-Link TL-WN722N with antena Netgear WNA1100 Wireless N150 USB LAN Adapter and finally this one looks really promising EDUP MS8512 300 MBPS wifi adapter Please provide your inputs!

Dev I do not have these roms on my pc as of now so can't upload them on dropbox, maybe kshah may have them. The link I gave you earlier has two two torrent files through which you can download these roms. i also understand that all direct links are down.
  7. Review: Motorola Photon 4G

Dev afaik the most stable rom as of now would be [KANG][ROM] CM7.2 by Photon Dev team 2-10-2012 or you can go for the once you requested Joker roms. I would rather suggest you go through this and take your pick. To be frank I am not in to the rom thingy coz I do not have time to troubleshoot the problems due to custom roms. I know there are advantages of having them rather than the stock for example the lag you see during the home screen transition is utter crap it is not the hardware but the blur to be blamed for. Not that I dig for blur but again that's me! Veterans like kshah can guide you better in this department! PLEASE NOTE - There is a rom on xda which is solely for electrify. Please do not flash it it will s&*^# your mohpo. Read carefully before you flash something!
  8. Review: Motorola Photon 4G

Great going Dev! Man you got your phone rooted it unlocked the boot loader and also installed custom rom on the first day! Now you can install the latest stock sbf (197) for photon. The link for that file is down so please use my dropbox link Not sure about programming but when i did the sbf i had to do programming due some other issue.
  9. Review: Motorola Photon 4G

Dear sorry for replying late but I guess this has already been addressed. I am not an solid gsm user hardly I am on gsm network say 5% of my usage that too for 3G data. Now pertaining to the network query as I had told you earlier i have very good network at my place. And the only place where I do not get coverage (my office lobby) is also covered pretty well at least I get two to three network bars and I can make calls and receive them with ease no matter if I am on cdma or gsm. I am using soundmagic pl 21 earphones as of now previously used sound magic pl 11 total vfm imho. And again mopho has the best speaker output that I have ever seen on a smart phone apart from those Chinese phones Further, I do not understand what Kundalus meant by gsm having slow gsm radio. I.e if you put your network on GSM mode it will only use the sim network and does not latch to cdma afaik. Mate if you still face this issue which i highly doubt, one can go to cdma workshop and select the tab OTHER - R-UIM - CONFIG and then select R-UIM ONLY. After this your phone will never latch to any network other than the sim card in th slot. Also swapping between cdma and gsm ot the other way round hardly takes 3 secs and I can vouch for that. Buddy this phone is the best world phone for now till something better pops up on the radar. The major flaw on gsm mode will be lack of usdd and no sms delivery report if you can live with it. Please go for mopho you will not regret. And on cdma network wise there is no issues at all. If you have any specific query please feel free to pm me. Mate tell me which phone does not have any flaws. I guess right now afaik epic 4g touch is the best cdma phone. but if you want goodness from both the worlds (cdma and gsm) Mopho is your best bet. The choice is yours. I agree there may be better phones but these two are tru vfm.
  10. Review: Motorola Photon 4G

First of all congratulations and welcome aboard. I will try my best to answer your queries. 1. The network quality of Motorola photon is just awesome. Let me tell you that I am not feeding you something which I have read over a forum. This is something I have experienced myself. My place and my office has the best possible network however at my work there is dead spot where all phones that I have used nokia htc etc etc.. tend to drop calls This is only phone that keeps the call going at that spot. Further, I can vouch that the network is best. 2. Overclocking- To be frank I am a bit skeptical about overclocking as the current stock setup is works best for me as I have around 150 apps and my phone works like charm. Further overclocking puts extra burden on battery too. Whereas I was interested in underclocking the phone to see how much more juice I will gain. I tried using the setcpu app after rooting the phone on stock rom but the app forceclosed on me. 3. You are right there are no earphones in the box. However, the speaker quality and output is best afaik or seen on any smart phone till date. 4. Again no hdmi cable in the box. All you get in the box is the phone, battery, charger along with the usb cord and manuals. Now mopho has micro hdmi port so just a normal micro hdmi to hdmi is all you need. Not a mess like mhl apdater IMO. Original Motorola micro hdmi should be a damage of R.s 750 to 1k. You can try Parin he had it in stock earlier or else post a requirement in the buy or sell forum. Once you get the phone my suggestion is root it asap and install a recovery and take a backup of the stock. Then you can unlock the boot loader and try different roms once you are done with stock. The best roms for mopho afaik is skinny version by joker and cm7 as they are the most stable ones. You can get them both at XDA. Best of luck and please share your experience with us.
  11. Updated: Apple Sues Samsung - Apple Wins Patent Case

We are not done here! Apple hits Samsung with new patent suit in California Shortly after legal news involving Apple and Motorola surfaced this morning, some more headlines concerning another legal battle between two mobile firms are being made, but this time it's Apple and Samsung that are tangled up. It's been revealed that Apple has brought a new patent lawsuit against Samsung in San Jose. The complaint was filed earlier this week and focuses on a pair of patents held by the Cupertino firm that it received in December. The first, patent number 8,074,172, is said to relate to spelling and autocorrect while the second, patent number 8,086,604, is described as involving a "universal interface for retrieval of information in a computer system." Some of the specifics of the case, like exactly which Samsung products Apple is going after, have yet to be revealed since the majority of the court documents are still sealed tight. This new case is just the latest in a long (and I mean long) list of suits that Apple and Samsung have been trading across the globe, and with this week's new case, it doesn't look like the tiff between the two firms will be stopping any time soon. More on this one as we get it, folks. Source
  12. Updated: Apple Sues Samsung - Apple Wins Patent Case

Apple sues Motorola over Qualcomm patent licensing agreement Boy, it's beginning to look like February 10th, 2012, could become known as Legal Friday. After a result in a German case between Motorola and Apple and then news of a new suit between Apple and Samsung, it's now been revealed that Apple has filed suit against Motorola in a San Diego court. Apple claims that Motorola has broken a patent licensing agreement that it has with Qualcomm by bringing a lawsuit against the Cupertino firm in Germany. The iDevice-maker goes on to argue that as a Qualcomm customer, it's a third-party beneficiary of the Moto-Qualcomm deal and that it can't be sued by Motorola because of that agreement. Apple is asking that Motorola be prevented from following through with its claims in Germany. So there's your latest legal tiff that's emerged out of the world of mobile. It's just the latest one to be added to a pile of cases that's getting tougher to keep track of and, as I mentioned earlier today, it doesn't look like the lawsuits will be slowing any time soon. As for this latest suit between Apple and Motorola, it'll be interesting to see how the court decides to rule and if Apple does end up getting its German case with Motorola tossed. Those of you that are interested in checking out the full complaint can do so right here. Source
  13. Lets Ask Arun

I too feel that it will be great as people will know where to look for the information they need. Such as if I want to know about roms I would directly go to the roms section under that particular handset. However, restructuring the current scenario will be a very tedious job.

Varun you are absolutely right you will need root access to make this mod if you follow the first method. Btw i knew the 2nd option to flash the update file however I prefer the old fashioned way to do it manually. As it is a matter of personal preference one can refer the link and choose what suits him best. However, I bet you will feel the difference in games like asphalt right the moment you make this mod!.
  15. Motorola Photon - SMS Received Many Times

Hetal bhai can you please elobrate on this? Dear you forgot to give him +1 or vote up his post.
  16. It is not a problem with chennai imho. I tried shipping it to proper mumbai, thane, vashi and pune addresses. I even spoke with starcj cc these people have acknowledged that it is currently out of stock. When i asked whether it is a problem with the address his reply was for proper mumbai address it should not be a problem. Now when i complained about why is still on the webpage if it is out of stock they said that they will look into it. Also if they get it back in stock they will get back to me which i seriously do not think is gonna happen. Finally even this one is a good deal provided we could buy it. I am following starcj right from the time rajan bhai had posted about the deals but was not able to buy it on midnight for the same day.

I have tried this work around on my mopho. And indeed this works as I have tested this on the only game I play now Defender and yes it works flawlessly now previously it used to stop responding in between the game where you had to hold the touch and move the finger to fire. As I am not using swype at the moment can't comment on its improvement. Also I have gained multiple touch points previously my mopho only supported 2 touch points i.e you cannot use the more than two fingers on the touch area to register new touch input. To test it out download phone tester from the market and under phone tester you have the option Multi-touch test using this option you will see that our mopho can only recognize two touch points at a time. However, after this fix i can now register 5 touch points. I guess it is not of great use for everyone but for people who play games on the phone this is phenomenal. The method I followed to get this fix is 1. Download the attached .zip file 2. Using RootExplorer navigate to "system/etc/touchpad/22/touchpad.cfg" 3. Press the "Mount R/W" button and Back-up the touchpad.cfg file to a safe location either on your SDcard or SDcar-ext. 4. Unzip the Downloaded attachment and inside copy the touchpad.cfg file in "Raindrop_Fix/system/etc/touchpad/22/touchpad.cfg" 5. Navigate to "system/etc/touchpad/22/" and make sure to press "Mount R/W", paste/replace the touchpad.cfg file in the "22" folder. 6. Reboot your MoPho.
  18. Review: Motorola Photon 4G

The Water Drop Detection issue has solved thanks to xda. This fix will make your mopho respond properly to touches while playing games and users have also reported better swype experience after this fix. The link to the thread for this solution can be found here. So basically what is Water Drop Detection issue. The Water-Drop detection feature to prevent false touches on the Mopho and Atrix should've never been implemented in the first place. It disables the touch screen for 2 seconds if it detects input for more than about 10 seconds on the screen. Very noticeable when playing games in which the screen is to be pressed for more than a tap such as racing games for acceleration like racingmoto or games like GTAIII where you need to constantly be either walking/running or driving and have the on screen button(s) pressed for extended periods of time. The touch screen would become unresponsive after detecting this "touch" for more than about 10 seconds, thinking its a drop of water on the screen. Then takes a 3 seconds to reset before allowing screen input touches again.

Rajan bhai please I never felt offensive. Actually I enjoyed your comment I was just tying to pull your leg. On the contrary I am sorry if my reply seems repulsive.
  20. Verizon Launched Droid Razr Maxx Today!

You are absolutely correct brother, but there are instances though negligible where you have to do the battery pull. And seriously I will not be willing to take such a risk
  21. Parin dada can you do this tweak on your rezound and check provided you have not changed your handset.
  22. Verizon Launched Droid Razr Maxx Today!

I get the point now As a seller : Easy to sell As a buyer: Easy to re-sell. The point is not to just to get better resale value or dispose it quickly. Rather take it this way one can enjoy cheap call rates of CDMA and make best use of 3G data speeds on GSM. Mate I am using Motorola photon and trust me there is no comparison between evdo and 3G speeds. Agreed you can use only one network at a time but you can always use call forwarding feature which I personally use. Also changing network in mopho takes 3 secs which would be same for Rmaxx. I am too following Rmaxx since its rumors surfaced. However same as original razor this silk smita too comes with non removable battery which can be a horror if your phone hangs. Just imagine waiting for 21 hours so that your phone's battery could eventually die and you can restart your phone unless some other reset option is provided without battery pull.
