@ACS, In India, to sell a phone which can easily be used with a sim/ruim is easy than a one for which OTA programming (Non-ruim) is done.. Its only about the mindset of us Indians... People think, 'Sim card wala phone hain, toh no jhanjhat. Ek nikalo, doosra daalo'... Translation, 'If its a sim based phone, no problem. just remove one and insert another'... No one wants to get into the intricacies of programming, even if its the WW/webstore/telephone store who is gonna do everything...

Bhai, do you think this will ever go into production?? Also, if the source of this news is reliable, we shall have another contender in the 'pad' space...

Hi gurus, Well, I have been having this problem/issue since a very very long time. My Office is situated in such a place that it is exactly in between 2 reliance BTS. So every now and then, my phone latches signal of either of the 2 towers, and an area notification pops up. Now I do not mind having this area notifications, but because of them, the phone lights up all the time, and so my battery goes for a toss... Nowadays its been very annoying, and my phone's battery lasts for only 12-14 hours... I just got this idea, that if we change certain/some parameters in the PRL file, with which, I would not want the PRL file on my phone to latch onto either one of the towers.. Now as usual this is something out of the blue, and I have no idea how to access/change/modify information on the PRL file... If anyone has ever used this method, or know any other method, or if anyone can use my method above and search for something useful, it would really be appreciable for me and I am sure there would be many people in this forum also who would be facing this issue. I am sure, I would be getting some information on this peculiar problem of mine... Some gurus even suggested me of a better idea... They suggested me to shift my Office.. lolz... Pour in your views people... Cheers..

@kshah, Could you please xplain, or any google webpage of what it might be and how to make/procure/install it? also @kshah, I have bought an aftermarket 2000mAH battery and im using that only... but even in that my battery lasts only for 14-16 hrs, WITHOUT the data ON... so you can understand how must the bts problem be affecting me...

^^^ hey that was a good and eye-openeing comparision.. I think incredible is as good as evo.. EVO only scores well in the screen size front for us Indian Users.. Also notable feature, Incredible has AMOLED whereas EVO has TFT LCD... I was unaware of this.. AMOLED is the latest and most responsive of all.. I think ill have to change my route and go for incredible as of now... Great Goin DK... you always change my presumptions and you pull me towards yours (or towards reality)..

^^ sahi baat hain yaar.. I doled out more than 4.5K for getting one BB Storm from the Ahmedabad customs.. fools... they just dont understand... These private players do ship your products fast, but you can never trust the customs charges they charge..

dude, my suggestion, do not get the thing from courier/ems/post from ebay usa... starting mein itll be very cosy and less costly... but if this is your first time, there is a very high possibility that you might 'burn' your fingers and your pocket in order to shout/fight with the customs.. In India, beaurocrats are very b@d... no one can trust anyone.. If possible, search for deals here in rimweb for the type of phone you are looking at, or if you need a new one, goto sadikk.. My 2 cents.
