  1. Handset supporting carrier aggregation

Yes. It supports 2 CA, with band 3 + Band 40 only. So no Band 5 + Band 40 and even no Band 40 + Band 40 support as well. Still Useful for Airtel and Jio. From my personal experience Poco F1 works better with Airtel than Jio.
  2. Handset supporting carrier aggregation

Even though most of the mid range Samsung smartphones used to support 4g+ earlier, recent M series and budget A series phones doesn't support 4G+, afaik (even though all support Dual VoLTE). Too sad, those are good vfm phones from Samsung, IMHO. Sent from my Samsung C9 pro using Tapatalk
  3. If he doesn't use data, then even JioPhone plan 49 is good. U just need to buy a new JioPhone. You can add his number in your smartphones myjio app and do recharges and check details there. Queuing of recharges is much better than 35Rs per 28 days, imho. If jio is not an option, then go for BSNL. Rs319 gives unlimited calls for 90 days. Still better option is 1699 recharge for One year, which is almost the cost of JioPhone. I am using this in my BSNL number. Difference between 319 and 1699 is just 423Rs per year or Rs35 per month. But you get daily 2GB data (4.1GB now) and UL roaming in MTNL network in Mumbai Delhi as well. Sent from my Samsung C9 pro using Tapatalk
  4. For customers using mobile number for incoming only, BSNL is the only better option. In TN, there is a Recharge called "New Vasantham" lifetime validity plan, for just Rs5 and currently its valid till 29-Feb-2020 (as its license expiry date of BSNL here).
  5. I think, few days back jio has closed this loophole. Now we can't add booster pack in add voucher section. It was good, till it lasted, since that's the only way to make use of many of the accumulated vouchers. Sent from my AZFMPM16G using Tapatalk
  6. ^^^ Yes.. this works.. Thanks bro...
  7. MyJio App

OMG, LYF wind 4 still in Lollipop???
  8. That's 2GB per day for 4 days in September as well as October as per Jio announcement / faq section. All my Jio prepaid numbers have this 4 days pack activated already. This will repeat again in October as well. Sent from my Samsung C9 pro using Tapatalk
  9. JioFi2 MiFi

If you are looking for Dualband (both 2.4GHz and 5GHz) ones, with great reception and don't care about lengthy antenna, go for THIS.. If you want Dualband one, but not with protruding antenna, go for THIS... Even though going for dualband ones will be future proof, it is NOT really needed now. So for an ordinary 2.4GHz (JioFi uses 2.4GHz only) go for THIS..
  10. Suggest 4G Smartphone

I don't think the battery drain in DualVoLTE networks will be higher than 4G + 3G phones, unless otherwise the 4G coverage of one of the network su(ks... Constant switching from 4G to 3G/2G for voice calls will drain the battery more, imho...
  11. Suggest 4G Smartphone

Yes. Asus has enabled that in one of the 3 updates, it has sent after phone launch. Further the updates have improved RAM management and speed of finger print scanning as well. VoLTE for Airtel and Vodafone are expected in coming updates as well... Sent from my Lenovo P2 using Tapatalk
  12. Suggest 4G Smartphone

NO... Asus Zenfone max Pro (M1) {that's a mouth full of name} doesn't support simultaneous Dual-VoLTE till now, as told by some youtube reviewers. Only option is Honor View10... Luckily, View10 supports all VoLTE networks in India, incl vodafone.
  13. Upc code generation of Aircel

I think there is some Android app in play store to show sim number as well (link HERE). Will be very useful for customers using very old sim card. Better try that app with only the aircel SIM (preferably on the slot 1) in the phone.
  14. No. Only 2CA afaik...
  15. Getting 10GB addon is not at all an issue. I get it just after 10 minutes of doing plan recharge. Further 999 recharge gives 15GB and 399 or above recharges gives 10GB vouchers. Redeeming the same is also no issue. But it is unusable when u change phone and exhaust plan usage limit (like 1GB per day in old 399). I am using Jio SIM on my old Lenovo YogaTab 3 (8" screen without VoLTE) got from flipkart (don't get from Amazon as it has just 1GB Ram). Now better one is Alcatel pop 4 (10" tab without VoLTE) again from flipkart for under 11k. But don't forget that, when u are using jio number in mobile while doing a recharge, the free add-on will become unusable if you change the SIM to any other phone or tab. So better get a new SIM for the tab, imho... Sent from my Samsung C9 pro using Tapatalk
  16. Do you know the catch in this offer??? NOT at all a big one for most of the people, but for me it is a deal-breaker. The FREE add-on can be used ONLY in the phone which was used during the plan recharge. For example, you are using xiaomi RN4 and do a Rs399 recharge and will get 10GB add-on for FREE. But in case you changed the phone to other say RN5, then the addon will NOT be used at all, even though it was redeemed earlier. I have experienced this in my 4G Tab, while recharge was done on C9 pro. As I said it is NOT a big deal for almost anyone. But for people who change phone often or that old phone got broken, they are in for bad luck. I have recharged for 2 years and obviously can't use th phone for that length of time. So it is NOT that useful in queing more plans in Jio.
  17. I am NOT saying other operators were NOT looting, before jio days. Yes, they have looted and will continue to do so, if they get the slightest chance, even now. No doubts in that. I do agree that, people are getting huge benefits as well. I am NOT against the benefits for mass. I wholeheartedly welcome this. But why they are NOT caring about high ARPU users??? Do you think, they got profit, just from Jio's operations ALONE and NOT from funds of RIL??? Do you think, they will get returns for the 2.5 Lakh Crores, (this amount is as big as budget of few small countries) by offering to masses only? No, they need to concentrate on high ARPU users as well. I will be more happy, if they offered balanced services like, Rs49 Limited plan for feature phone users and Bulk benefits for high ARPU users. I am NOT losing anything, if Idea or Airtel goes to loss (they already are. Idea for 1 year & Airtel from last qtr for India operations). But lack of competition is a HUGE loss for customers. With NO competition, there will be NO need to ensure quality services. Already CC of Jio is the worst. Guess, the situation, when there is NO or little competition? It is much worse than Rs296/GB, imho. Reg "Revival of Looting Era" -- I don't think it will be as severe as AVoId days of Rs296 per GB for sure. At the max, it can go to Rs303 -- 1GB per day for 28 days. When saying LOSS to customers, it is NOT just about money -- It is loss of quality -- It is the loss of Choice -- It is the loss of peace of mind. With NO competition, your money is valueless. That is the real loss.
  18. Sorry, I dis-agree with this point. If they are really into number one position, they must be giving special offers for high ARPU users as well as Postpaid customers (much stickier customers). But their only motto is to KILL THE COMPETITION and nothing else.
  19. I can't understand Jio's strategy. They don't give a damn about higher-end plans and postpaid connections. Rs999 recharge still gives 60GB for 90 days (with free 15GB topup --depending on phone and Rs50x8 cashback) ONLY. The customers who have recharged with that plan are giving Rs333 per month, comparing Rs133 per month in case of Rs399 plan users. But Rs399 plan gives 1.5GB/ day for 84 days + Rs50x8 cashback vouchers + 10GB topup free. Now the Rs101 top-up automatically uses our existing Rs50 cashback voucher. So it is Rs51 for 6GB, as well. With such top-up facility, now there is simply NO NEED to go for Rs999 or above plans at all. Just do Rs399 recharge and use Rs51 (Rs101-Rs50 CB) top-up for 6GB -- when you need bulk data and you are good to go. Since Jio is NOT AT ALL thinking about the Rs333 ARPU users, now it is PROVED (although not surprising) that all Jio wants is to KILL competition and nothing else...
  20. The difference is, with HEALTHY competition, the quality of service increases. But in cut-throat DEADLY competition, only PRICE gets cheaper and quality degrades like anything. No network in India is good in all places, both for voice calls and data. Right now, it changes from street to street as well. In TN, Airtel's DC-HSPA rocks. But their 4G speed sux and in MP+CG, 4G rocks, 3G crawls. Voice quality of 2G sux in all circles, thanks to unlimited calls. Wrt BSNL, speed is good in two streets per city. If we are living in rest of the 990+ streets, then we are out of luck. Voice calls are horrible even in 3G, again thanks to unlimited calls. Jio has good speeds in MP, TN. But it crawls in Mah & AP. if you have 4G+ phone (with LTE - A support), then you are blessed, else cursed. Calls between Jio numbers are simply awesome, but between Jio and other networks calls are awful. It is NOT like, operators have not expanded their network coverage. They have (especially Jio and Airtel) improved coverage great (thanks again to competition). But the data speed and voice clarity is NOT upto the mark, due to too much race to cheap tariff.
  21. This is looking more like crushing the competition, than republic day gift for my eyes. Healthy competition is good for customers, but that is not the case now. Jio's plans are like dragging competitors to hell loss. Even now, I can't understand why Airtel is still triggering Jio by matching their plans. May be their idea is to kill idea? Idea CEO is almost crying for mercy showing white flag. One thing is for sure, expecting quality services during this blood bath is a crime now.
  22. Yes... Jio is making money in books only for now, I guess.. Rs154 ARPU from 16 crore customers?? I really doubt that... Or one reason, I can guess is the QUEUED recharges has brought the revenue to Jio. For eg: I have done recharges for 2 years and hence Jio has got few thousand rupees in last quarter from me. But the problem is "I will NOT recharge for 2 years", but Jio has to serve me for 2 years without getting new revenue from me. From comments around web, I can see that so many people have done advanced recharges and hence good revenue for Jio last qtr. But in coming years, we have to wait and see. The problem with such blood bath competition is, NO NETWORK will be in usable condition, till the end of tariff war in most places.
  23. Looks like, Jio is determined to kill the total competition... Whether this will be good or bad, only time will tell. Till then we have to digest the call drops, congested network, slow speeds, NIL voice clarity, even if we are ready to pay more for quality...
  24. Not only that. If you are browsing using 4G data and when an incoming call arrives, the network will switch to 3G and data will obviously used on 3G network as well and eats your main balance. This problem is somewhat solved with airtel VoLTE. But it's available in few streets of very few circles. To add insult to the injury, very very few phones support their VoLTE and that too is a hit or miss affair.
  25. This clears almost all the doubts. Thanks@LTE4G Sent from my Lenovo P2 using Tapatalk
