You forget that you are getting a phone as well. Even though it's not vfm, at least 60 to 65% of the cost is worthy for sure and after preview offer you can sell it in olx or give that to elderly people in home. This has been discussed more than 100 times here. Telcos in India are referring both 800MHz and 850MHz interchangeably, but in reality it's just band 5 [850MHz]. Normal 800MHz is band 20 which is mainly used in rural areas of Europe or ITU regions where band 5 is not used. Band 5 overlaps EGSM 900, band 5 is sub band of band 26, etc... My experience is almost same. I don't know how, but band 40 coverage of RJio is increasing day by day and I am getting band 40 2300MHz coverage in places where initially it's not there. So I am recommending RJio to others, but not many cares about it. Yes.. I do expect the same... Even I have recommended many friends about the Jio Preview offer, unlimited high speed internet with just a catch of buying a new not so vfm phone (except wind 4).. But most of them didn't care about the offer, even though most guys have upto 40GB (wireline) as internet usage per month. The main reason is, they already have 4G phones like A6000+, Vivo phones, Oppo, 1+2, Redmi / MI, Samsung J / S series, Moto G / X, phones and do NOT want to invest redundantly in some unknown new phone..

As I said earlier, a Postpaid corporate connection from Airtel can be formed by a group of minimum 3 numbers, including the Data card number. Visit Airtel store for more info. Corp postpaid plans are much better than normal postpaid plans. In normal MyPlan, you get 400 minutes for Rs199 plan, whereas in Corporate MyPlan you get 600 minutes. Now coming to the point of getting the connection:- As I said earlier, If you have a friend using Airtel Corp connection, then ask him to get a new data card connection for you with the above said plan -- This is the easiest one. If you have 2 Airtel connections (either prepaid or normal postpaid or MNP from other operator) you can form new Corp connection with data card connection as third number and enjoy free unlimited calls within the 2 numbers as bonus. Another suggestion.. Why don't you try Jio Preview offer? That is buying the LYF wind4 with Jio SIM and use it for tethering? Considering the price of phone / features + 3 months UL 4G data, its better than getting new corp connection from Airtel, if you are OK with current operator..

Airtel has one corporate data plan Rs650 - 5GB + unlimited 2g. For Rs500 - 4GB + unlimited 2g is also there. If you have any friends using corporate plans in Airtel [3 connections is enough for Corp plan], you can ask and get one sent from my Lenovo Vibe P1 using Tapatalk

I just hope, RJio won't repeat their (only) mistake during CDMA launch, that is forcing to buy Handset from them only. Even now Moto X Play and Moto X Style has VoLTE support natively (just like Moto G3), but RJio doesn't allow them to be used in their network for VoLTE. They allowed Moto G3, but NOT Moto X Play and Style. Why? It may affect the sales of their relatively higher end Water and Earth models. There can't be any other reasons.. They should just close down LYF phones co and join hands with other phone makers to have infinite options for customers, imho... ELSE, forget Airtel, they can't even beat Idea in telecom business..
