Thanks Aalok! I tried with these files but no difference. I guess I am making some other mistake. I have : a. successfully changed ESN b. added MIN and MSID c. Changed the NID and SID When I dial, I get "To resume service please contact customer care" I donot know whats wrong here. Any CLUES?

It seems my cdmaupdater with Reliance PRL file got corrupted. I tried to download 2 from the web but they do not seem to be changing the PRL effectively. Can someone pls share the two files: a. CDMAFirmwareUpdater with Reliance PRL b. CDMAFirmwareUpdater_enUS I was playing with 2 Treo 755p phones and both are now unable to work on the Reliance network. Appreciate help. Thanks!

Managed to change ESN; add MIN, home NID, SID info on Verizon Treo 755p. (for Reliance) Could not find advance option in the menu of #*#DATA#. Thus could not change MCC. Current status: Phone connects to the network but on dialing a number says "contact reliance to resume service" Phone is not showing Carrier DB as 393. Could that be the issue? How can I change it to 393? I have already tried using switch carrier option in CDMA updater using Kshah's version with Reliance PRL. Looking for ideas. Thanks!

When radio was off it asked to switch it on, when I switched it on, it died to dial the number but nothing happened. Am I doing this wrong? Should I try anything else as well? Also learnt that with Verizon ##UPST# does not work. But #*#UPST# gets it into bootloader mode. still struggling with ##MSL# and #*#MSL#

Should I try anything else as well? was able to get the phone into bootloader mode. here is what finally helped. 1. remove Treo 755p battery 2. connect the hotsync cable to phone as well as computer 3. press hotsync button. keep it pressed while inserting the battery 4. the phone comes on in bootloader mode NEXT CHALLENGE ##MSL# does not work. how do I set the MIN and MSID? Any ideas????

Dear Muffadal, I am facing a similar issue with a new Treo 755P verizon version which I picked up for a friend. I am unable to get it into bootloader mode. dialing ##UPST# i.e. ##8778# does not do anything to the phone. Infact, ##DATA# or ##MSL# also does not work. While I have worked with two other 755p phones in the past, both were Sprint versions, and it was easy to get them to bootloader mode. With this phone, I am kinda stuck. Do you have any suggestions? Thanks Kshah! In that case I will wait for the Pre GSM version to be available at a decent price. I have tried Mogul and hated it (personal preference) and I want to stay away from BB. One of my friends, coming back from US, can get one for me from Ebay (BAD ESN @$200 i don't know if that is a good price?) Have you created a guide on how to get Reliance to work on Pre? Else, could you point me to the best guide on the web for the same? Thanks!

I picked up a Reliance Broadband+ card (ZTE 8710). I am now trying to read the settings on the card so that I can try the same on my treo 755p. So far, a. I am able to read the ESN and MIN from the card (using CDMA workshop program) b. But I have not been able to read the EVDO settings as I have CDMA workshop v2.7 which does not read EVDO settings. I know CDMA updater v3.4 reads the EVDO settings but I have still not been able to do so. This is because my ZTE USB modem takes COM port 9 or above. The demo version of CDMA workshop v3.4 only reads uptil com7 in the demo mode. My question to the group: a. Does anyone else know a better way to read the data off the ZTE card? Any other suggetsions on the above are also welcome.

Thanks mufaddal_km, 2.7 is not useful for me. And I do all this as a hobby, I donot deal in cdma phones; and therefore would not be buying the higher version.

Thanks Kshah! I tried this over the last week but could not solve it. I was able to change the COM port of the card to any one below COM6 so that trial version of CDMA Workshop would work. However this did not help much. I was unable to read the akey or EVDO settings. Lets see if someone else is able to dig it more. For the time being, I will not be trying this anymore. cheers!

Thanks Chintan! I am not sure i this is the issue. I suggest this because I have one more Treo 700p kept alongside, in the same room and that one works just fine. Another thing that I noticed about the problem is that when I press the power button, the message "keyguard: Press center key..." does not get displayed and thats when the phone is radio goes off and come back on. For now, I am reflashing the phone with the original Treo 700p ROM and hope for the best. More ideas are welcome.

1. Tried reflashing but did not work. It first checks the image against the installed image and then says "Skipping Section". And thus skips all sections. 2. Used my phone's CDMANVbackup file also but the same problem persists. Any other ideas/ suggestions????

Hi all, I am facing a strange issue on my brother's Treo 700p. Need guidance on the same. The phone works fine for making and receiving calls. However, it hangs after every one hour or so. When I try to press any buttons, it switches off the phone radio, and the switches it on again. Please note: a. The phone is flashed with Treo 755p firmware. (Mine is also the same but works perfectly) b. When I was doing ESN repair of this phone, the CDMANV file had the ESN only at 2 locations and not three. Questions : a. How can I solve this? b. Can I use my phone's CDMANV file, correct ESN and restore in my borther's phone? Could this create any problem? I suggest this because my phone's CDMANV file has ESN at three locations.

Thus, I updated the ROM with Treo 755P using the following thread. http://discussion.treocentral.com/showthread.php?t=160354 After this I followed the ESN repair steps and got the phone working in no time. I had taken a backup of the original NV file. I picked the same again. Very careful searched for the original ESN, found it at two places only. Then, I carefully replaced the same with new ESN (and yes I entered the ESN in reverse in pairs of two, like Sadikk indicated). Restored it. I still have the same problem. Also, as I indicated earlier, now when I restore the original NV file also, I still face the same problem. It could be that the ESN had already been messed with before I bought the phone. What is the solution now? A. Can another phone's NV file be used? (I do have another 700P which is working fine) B. Can I flash the phone with Treo 755p image. Will that add a new NV file which I can again rectify? Please guide. All : I have still not been able to solve the above issue. Look forward to guidance from Forum members especially Sadikk and Kshah. Thanks!
