  3. Sorry if this is Why not something similar for voice and data calls too? ---- like max 10 minutes for voice (you will not get head cancer, throat cancer, ear cancer etc, this way you see) and 10 minutes for data (your fingers, eyes, brain, wallet etc will remain forever good) Similarly on RW, FB, etc etc also, we should have caps on max time spent, so that every one will get a chance to equal Kamalbhai's record of 6k+ posts (sorry kamalbhai, no offence meant)..... 3 cheers to whoever wants to implement this....
  4. maybe it is different, as voda is offering 220 minutes absolutely free to any one landline number.

  9. 3G Phones Below Rs 10,000-Cdma And Gsm

@Rajan, I think LG Cookie Glide GT350i @ Rs 6,899 is not a 3G mobile. The GT350i has wi-fi and the GT350 does not have wi-fi also. Both models do not have 3G at all. And yes, the LG GT350i is available in Chennai for Rs 6000 and the LG GT350 is at Rs 5500. Both are available at Univercell.
  10. MNP Retention Offer You Received

In Case of Emergency - I C E We all carry our mobile phones with names & numbers stored in its memory but nobody, other than ourselves, knows which of these numbers belong to our closest family or friends. If we were to be involved in an accident or were taken ill, the people attending us would have our mobile phone but wouldn't know to whom they have to call. Yes, there are hundreds of numbers stored but which one is the contact person in case of an emergency? Hence this "ICE" (In Case of Emergency) Campaign The concept of "ICE" is catching on quickly. It is a method of contact during emergency situations. As cell phones are carried by the majority of the population, all you need to do is store the number of a contact person or persons who should be contacted during emergency under the name "ICE" ( In Case Of Emergency). <br style="background-color: rgb(191, 255, 223);"> The idea was thought up by a paramedic who found that when he went to the scenes of accidents, there were always mobile phones with patients, but they didn't know which number to call. He therefore thought that it would be a good idea if there was a nationally recognized name for this purpose. In an emergency situation, Emergency Service personnel and hospital Staff would be able to quickly contact the right person by simply dialing the number you have stored as "ICE." For more than one contact name simply enter ICE1, ICE2 and ICE3 etc. A great idea that will make a difference! Let's spread the concept of ICE by storing an ICE number in our Mobile phones today! Please forward this. It won't take too many "forwards" before everybody will know about this It really could save your life, or put a loved one's mind at rest . <br style="font-weight: bold;"> Remember:- ICE will speak for you when you are not able to...

On the bottom of a quiet pond lived a little colony of water bugs. They did notice that every once in awhile one from their colony clinging to the stem of a pond lily and gradually moving out of sight and was seen no more. They were greatly puzzled. They wondered, “Why would anybody give up this comfortable life, great friends, and move up in search of a new life?” One more found himself climbing up the lily stalk. Up, up, up, he went. Before he knew what was happening, he had broken through the surface of the water and fallen onto the broad, green lily pad above. When he awoke, he looked around with surprise. He couldn't believe what he saw. A startling change had come to his old body. His movement revealed four silver wings and a long tail. He moved his wings and found himself up above the water. He had become a dragonfly!! Swooping and dipping in great curves, flying through the air, experiencing the freedom of space, he truly felt on ‘Top of the World’. This water bug to dragonfly story has THREE profound lessons to teach us: Realisation 1: If the water bug hadn’t given up the comfort of remaining a water bug, it would have never become a dragonfly. This is where all great people stood out from the rest. They were willing to change and grow. They never sought comfort zones. They never thought what is EASY for me. They always thought what is GOOD for me. So, don’t settle. Keep looking. Don’t settle. Keep changing. Don’t settle. Keep growing. Realisation 2: Now that the water bug had become a dragonfly, even if it wants, it can never go back to the place from where it came – the bottom of the pond. Once a Mahatma Gandhi, you can never be a Mohandas Gandhi again. Rajinikanth can never be a conductor again. True growth is only when your own past seems like someone else’s past. Realisation 3: In that one water bug becoming a dragonfly, it will inspire a lot of other water bugs to become a dragonfly. After all, what is possible for one is possible for all. After all, we know that all balloons are made of the same inside stuff. One Viswanathan Anand becomes a world champion and so many of you will take up to chess. One Saina Nehwal wins the championship and so many of you will take up to shuttle badminton. When you become what you can become, you will become an inspiration to so many other students in your school. The best part of change and growth is that you can become a role model to others. You can become an inspiration to others. Hey, don’t get lost in a crowd. Stand above the crowd.--

  15. But what I received from RCDMA and RGSM is last 6 alphanumeric UPC only. Is it invalid then? I have so far only opted for Port-out and not for any Port-in.
  16. And according to the above link, the UPC is now valid for 15 days, you will remain on the existing network for 5 days (as per regulation) and on the 6th day, one can insert the new SIM / RUIM to switch on to the new network. You are following the correct procedure. No idea why you are not getting the UPC. I have got the UPC instantly for all my connections whether RCDMA, RGSM, Airtel or Voda. Only in the case of Voda, the UPC was not received on 20th Jan. It started working from 21st Jan. The following is from RCOM's MNP website: - From your existing mobile number please send a Port-Out request to your current operator by typing “ < Port > <space> < mobile number >” Send this SMS to 1900 (charges as per your current operator SMS rate) BTW, RCOM SMS is free while Voda charges 50ps, not sure about Airtel.
  17. MNP Retention Offer You Received

My dear friend, the offer is very new..... 1x data is always better than EDGE data..... If EDGE performs better than 1x within identical environment(same time, same distance to BTS, same BTS congestion), it could only be in one's mid summer noon dream. @KumaarShah, 'customised website worth Rs. 3000 free' is not mentioned in their website. It is very much on the website link I gave, you have to see the scrolling pop-ups (or whatever it is called) Also See here

A water bearer in India had two large pots, each hung on each end of a pole which he carried across his neck. One of the pots had a crack in it, and while the other pot was perfect and always delivered a full portion of water at the end of the long walk from the stream to the master's house, the cracked pot arrived only half full. For a full 2 years this went on daily, with the bearer delivering only one and a half pots full of water in his master's house. Of course, the perfect pot was proud of its accomplishments, perfect to the end for which it was made. But the poor cracked pot was ashamed of its own imperfection, and miserable that it was able to accomplish only half of what it had been made to do. After 2 years of what it perceived to be a bitter failure, it spoke to the water bearer one day by the stream. "I am ashamed of myself, and I want to apologize to you." "Why?" asked the bearer. "What are you ashamed of?" "I have been able, for these past two years, to deliver only half my load because this crack in my side causes water to leak out all the way back to your master's house. Because of my flaws, you have to do all of this work, and you don't get full value from your efforts," the pot said. The water bearer felt sorry for the old cracked pot, and in his compassion he said, "As we return to the master's house, I want you to notice the beautiful flowers along the path. " Indeed as they went up the hill, the old cracked pot took notice of the sun warming the beautiful wild flowers on the side of the path and this cheered it some. But at the end of tile trail, it still felt bad because it had leaked out half its load, and so again it apologized to the bearer for its failure. The bearer said to the pot, "Did you notice that there were flowers only on YOUR side of your path, but not on the other pot's side? That's because I have always known about your flaw, and I took advantage of it. I planted flower seeds on your side of the path, and every day while we walk back from the stream, you've watered them. For 2 years I have been able to pick these beautiful flowers to decorate my master's table. Without you being just the way you are, he would not have this beauty to grace his house." Moral: Each of us has our own unique flaws. We're all cracked pots. Some of us don't grow old gracefully, some are not so smart, some are tall, large & big, some bald, some physically challenged, but it's the cracks and flaws we each have that make our lives together so very interesting and rewarding. You've just got to take each person for what they are, and look for the good in them. There is a lot of good out there. There is a lot of good in you,______! Blessed are the flexible for they shall not be bent out of shape. Remember to appreciate all the different people in your life! Or as I like to think of it - If it's not for the crackpots in my life, it would be pretty boring. Thank you for being my crackpot friend,________ ............................................................... ............................................................... "So how do you love yourself? First of all and most important: Cease all criticism of yourself and others. Accept yourself as you are. When you approve of yourself, your changes become positive. Everyone in your world is a reflection of your beliefs. Don't blame others; change your beliefs. Be gentle, kind and patient with yourself. Praise yourself as much as you can." "The man is happy, we say, who knows no good that would be greater than that which he can give to himself"
  24. Nothing mentioned anywhere that you cannot port if your connection is in company name and CUG. But when I contacted Aircel( To whom I like to port to), they also informed that you cannot port a number registered in a company. So I have to change my connection to an individual name and then I can port. Further one more doubt - If I change my connection to pre-paid, can I port immediately or should I wait for another 90 days to port? FYI extracted from Vodafone's website:- Can a single employee series of corporate number be ported out? Yes, as long as the employee submits an approval from the authorised signatory to the donor operator and it is also subject to meeting the porting criteria for the entire account. No idea about this matter and what it means....
