  1. Reliance Communications Launches 3G Mobile Services

And another thing, these CDMA players who are offering EVDO data services - BSNL, RCOM, TTSL and MTS are silent on this 3G pricing. RCOM and TTSL priced 3G all most similar to EVDO data. For EVDO they did not pay such hefty amount like 3G. Still EVDO is not cheap (except BSNL). And MTS - who said their strategy is Data, Data and only Data is completely silent, it does not take advantages of current scenario. CDMA players already lost 2G data game against GSM players, as most CDMA handsets do not support data services (1x and EVDO). But they are not thinking about it. As a whole future of CDMA in India is doomed!
  2. Reliance Communications Launches 3G Mobile Services

Reliance told 3G would be competitive priced! ha ha ! And they come up with similar tariffs of Tata Docomo with more freedom! And this 21Mbps crap! I just hate it! Most BTS is offering 3.6Mbps! Well I am not convinced by Speedtest.net results. Direct download gives me a proper view of the network speed. Some of BTS is equipped with 7.2Mbps HSDPA! I guess with this pricing losers are only operators, they bought 3G spectrum paying huge amount of money by taking loans! But without takers or with a few takers they will not make profits! On wireless I think 25GB can be said as so called 'Unlimited' (after 25GB speed will be capped) and that should be priced around Rs 1500! (Only BSNL can offer true unlimited) Otherwise nobody will take private operators' 3G!
  3. I am not sure but even with that budget you may not get Android+CDMA combo! Samsung Galaxy i899 which is priced around Rs 18000 now, comes with obsolete Android 1.5! There are some good CDMA handsets from Samsung, which are not android, but really good for use! they mostly come at around Rs10k! Remember Nokia stopped making CDMA and NO Android from Nokia
  4. Pvt EVDO players, specially MTS who is saying DATA DATA and Only DATA some days back is now silent, instead of making the tariff more affordable (which can be learnt from BSNL). CDMA has no bright future in India, users are moving to GSM for better handsets and at a point for better tariffs. MNP will certainly kick CDMA players' back! CDMA players have to reduce their data tariff, otherwise they will be doomed! As subscribers are going down, they can go into DOrB to offer upto 14.7Mbps speed to beat GSM 3G player by utilizing 5MHz spectrum (4 carriers of 1.25MHz - 3 for EVDO and 1 for voice). It is fact that people may take Tata Photon+ but never Tata Docomo 3G!
  5. yeah i am the same RDB the post is updated after email conversation with Team iWEBLEAF. Please check now!
  6. @rajanmehta iWEBLEAF sent Telecomtalk PR with specs, which says upload speed upto 384kbps!
  7. Reliance Communications Launches 3G Mobile Services

after Mukesh left Reliance starts following footsteps of Airtel, Vodafone! this is *hit! Anil s**ks bigtime! He cant see of himself own!
  8. Reliance Communications Launches 3G Mobile Services

Data cards are probably locked. And plans are NOT cheap ! Remember BSNL offers Rs 549- 1GB day+5GB night compared to Reliance's 1GB@649.
  9. Huawei Launches Android Smartphone Ideos In India

ZTE products are not that good, Huawei is better anytime than ZTE. ZTE has good portfolio on CDMA segment.
  10. Please suggest a CDMA Handset

Samsung F219 [OMH] costs Rs2800 in Kolkata. It has bluetooth, 2GB MicroSD support, VGA camera. Best OMH CDMA budget phone.
  11. Is this speed at your place (Meerut), Dhiraj ji? If yes, your decision to stick to RCDMA (post MNP) is a prudent one. Reliance 3G is on GSM ! :-o Reliance CDMA is dying, post MNP more and more CDMA users will move to GSM. CDMA is dying unless pvt CDMA players reduce their data tariffs. MTS is gaining new customers due to their 1-yr 1p/2sec local call rate @ Rs 95!
  12. Hi Kesav, I have a question regarding EVDO. EVDO Rev A - 3.1Mbit/s on single carrier. EVDO Rev B - 4.9Mbit/s on single carrier =14.7Mbps with 3 carriers. Then how EVDO RevB can offer 6.2 or 9.3Mbps? Is Rev A works on single carrier? and Multi Carrier RevA is actually Rev B ?
  13. Huawei Launches Android Smartphone Ideos In India

Micromax Andro is priced Rs 7000 comes with Android 2.1 and resistive touch screen - and also note it is rebranded ZTE penguin. While Huawei IDEOS is a google experience device, tested in Google Labs, has Android v2.2 and capacitative touch screen. When Huawei officially launch it in India it may be priced in the same league of Micromax Andro A60. I do not think Huawei IDEOS is not that bad as you are thinking guys. Remember DELL intros 2 smartphones in India which are actually made by ZTE also.
  14. Uninor also offers 2000min onnet local and 700min offnet local @197(per minute pulse) and @198(per second pulse).
  15. Which Is Better - 3G or EVDO?

Yeah I used MTS EVDO, that is too good. But BSNL 3G has unstable link, speed varies a lot! CDMA, and thereafter EVDO can be live in India, if they reduce data tariff like BSNL EVDO which offers unlimited without any FUP @ Rs 750/month. For voice/sms GSM beats CDMA! I can see CDMA players RCOM and Tata add a few new connections for last some months, MTS gets new customers due to its 1p/2s tariff!
  16. All about Tikona

Tikona will be dead, when LTE/WiMax players start their services! note that Tikona also bagged some BWA licenses, so Tikona's current offerings will be dead for sure, but not the company!
  17. New 3G Page in Reliance Communications Website!

Reliance becomes 1st pvt telco who started 3G testing over Kolkata
