I was trying to understand if android phones can have digital sound out using HDMI and then connect it to a DAC? Any clues if this looks workable? If this can be worked, I can save some money in shot term on sonos then! Thanks. A good phone anyway is gonna cost you 20k+ i still suggest you go for NAS with lan capabilities and Wi-Fi. You can always use your phone to use software to access the NAS via Wi-Fi and play from your phone.Sent from my LG-LS980 using Tapatalk

Try root uninstaller from Google play. Once uninstalled, download root checker and check for root access. If it says no root, BACKUP A NANDROID TO PC. Then update via OTA. Sent from my LG-LS980 using Tapatalk

Root will prevent OTA update. You need to be stock, stock recovery & no root to do the update using OTA. Sent from my LG-LS980 using Tapatalk Both work, CDMA data for now only on NV, GSM works with data. But now with KitKat it's either CDMA on NV or GSM on SIM, can't use both like before. while updating dont panic if the phone reboots more than 2 times, this OTA is a 3 stage update, so the phone reboots and updates 3 times and finally 4th time to boot the phone to KitKat -

F5 to copy from one side to other F8 to delete, do not use right click. -
Be very careful with the KK OTA, i have backed up my data and used LG Flashtool to go ZV7-ZV8-ZVA now, waited for next OTA but did not get it yet. Sometimes it comes fast like the way @ankurcshah got it. WAIT FOR IT. im completely stock, stock recovery, NO ROOT. NO GSM UNLOCK. running on NV right now. WAITING

All those who have stock ROM, with stock recovery on ZV8 & have not updated & have unlocked GSM & have renamed certain files in system/app/ HAVE TO RENAME THE APPS BACK TO ORIGINAL STATE, take ZVA update so that you can update to Kit Kat 4.4.2 ZVC. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=51531011 For those of you who want to take the OTA as-is, be aware you will reboot 3 times in the process. Here's how the OTA works: Stage 1 * Patch check (everything as it should be?) * Apply Radio Patch * Flash Recovery to Boot partition * Set stage value to 2 * Boot to Boot partition Stage 2 * Flash recovery to recovery partition * Set stage value to 3 * Boot to recovery partition Stage 3 * Flash new kernel (boot.img) * Apply Patches, new files, symlinks, permissions, etc. * Update build.prop * Set stage value to blank * End (automatic reboot). For DAC to start with you can use Cambridge DACMAGIC PLUS this can link up with your current driver Optically. can go wireless also, you can also connect a NAS to this. in NAS you can store all your digital music. The best setup till date i have seen in my life cost him around 20+lacs to set it up !! im talking about ONLY AUDIO !! and all my knowledge about audio related hardware is from this guy will give a detailed explanation about the setup with pics in the next post !!

Thats too small for your driver, but its a damn good box. i suggest Monitor Audio MR4 tower i guess its priced around 30 to 35k, these are one of the best economical boxes one can buy. Amazing sound with vol rocked to 30 to 40% good for watching Hindi movies and rock music, but if you want more punch to the same you gotta add a bass bin, and bass bins you have a wide range that you can choose from. My setup is a 3 stage Amplification, all my components are made to order crude amps with MOSFETS and TRANSISTORS. even a lightning cant take em out The only thing i invested heavily is my Maratnz Pre Amp for which cost me 38k from us some 10 years back and im still using it before splitting the signal. my set up: Marantz Pre Amp( cant remember the model now as im in my office) Connected to crossover made by the same person who made my amps. The crossover delivers 3 diff frquencies Low Mid & Highs now usually the amplification is in the following % 60% for Low 25% for Mid & 15% for the Highs same way my 3 amps are for the low 120watts mid 50watts and 30watts for the high per channel. i have a very old sony 12" active sub connected to my maratnz to complete the kick and a center bose which i have not connected till date. i can explain more but too much time consuming. Hardware related to music is my first choice compared to PHONES

RUIM does not require APN, APN is only for GSM. If your 1x is working on new RUIM SIM, then you don't have to worry as EVDO takes 24 hours to transfer from your old SIM to new one. Sent from my LG-LS980 using Tapatalk
