@pradeep it 100% works with rge series Sim. With recr some series work and some don't. To remove all doubts, try a rge series sim if u have. -
Problem I faced with cm based Roms was that when u switch off handset and put it on charge, screen does not go off ...rather displays the battery icon always. Plus no animations of battery charging. It was on cm4.2 or 4.3

@ami1 firstly if some file Explorer is not able to permanently change the name or delete the file, try using latest twrp recovery and change name via file manager in recovery. Second, to choose gsm, I guess u click on mobile data and then mobile network. And choose gsm umts

Use that reference interaction number and Lodge a complaint on pgportal. It does yield result many times. Also, it is always a good idea to record your call when handling such cases. -

Have heard that if sprint activation does not go through then editing some xml files also helps in activating stock hotspot. After rooting other apps can be used but they **** more battery than the stock application. Anyone? -
Hmm. Try that. Coz in most cases improper or no evdo activation is the main issue for data not working.

@ashish. Did u get evdo activated after getting sim card changed? I guess that is the issue.

As far as CDMA is cocerned, use a RECRUC sim on G2. In my experience, G2 never picked up any signal on a RGERUC simcard. Lots of permutations and combinations with handsets and sims these days!!!

Flash to ZV8 tot and enable ruim mode. Assuming you already have the proper simcard. RGE series won't work on LS980!!
