One of my friend got one from eBay like this: http://cgi.ebay.in/DUAL-SIM-GSM-CDMA-MULTI...1QQcmdZViewItem

He was able to make it work with Reliance using RUIM and no other configuration/change was required. These cheap chineese handsets will have a toy like feel though !

they are not PDA, just a phone with touch screen, some times handwriting recognition etc. Also because of touch screen they give few icons to calender and contact and are called PDA. OS is all properietory. In most cases they are not even java enabled. Phone book memory is limited to max 1000 entries. Memory cards are used for storage pf photos and music only.

Dont get misguided.

My piece of advise to all who read about these Chinese handsets. Please see the full features by taking a detailed demo. Dont go by specs as they are misleading most of the times. f demo is not available, then don't buy that handset at all. It may not be worth it. I am not too sure of brands like yulong, coolpad etc. These may be reliable or maybe not also.

My dear friend, I think Coolpad is a reliable brand. Can't say about other chinese stuffs.

The newest one should be HKC W1000 made by the biggest ODM (TechFaith Wireless) in China.

http://www.myhkc.com/en/index.asp

http://www.techfaithwireless.com/english/p...s_DualSIM_2.htm

This is the Dual GSM phone (HKC G1000)

the techfaith phones seem to be good. I mailed them for the price list and the dual windows based phone (Gallic) costs around $380 for a single piece....

you got any idea about the perforamance of techfaith handsets..I searched the net but could not find review for it, although there were many press release about the launch of the phone.

These are new products, I am not aware of any service providers started distributing these handsets with their network.

Only concern I am having with these handsets are availability of EVDO,EDGE and slow processors
