Reliance was one of the first to introduce this scheme. It was only logical that others operators will follow it. But in any case, it is good for the subscribers.

I think this offer is available only for Maharastra(TTML customers).

The competitive tariffs offered with the 'Lifetime Go One' recharge, includes lifetime free incoming, local calls at Rs 1, and STD calls at Rs 2, have become a major draw for subscribers, a press release issued here said.

The company presently offers telephony and ISP services in Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, Pune, Nagpur, Nashik, Aurangabad, Kolhapur, Panaji, Sangli, Thane, Ahmednagar and other cities, towns and villages of Maharashtra and Goa, the release said.

The first link given by Kesav does not provide the amount required for the lifetime recharge. The 'Lifetime Go One' plan, which is for Maharastra & Goa circle costs Rs 249 according to Tata's official site's Maharastra & Goa page. Prepaid_plans..TTML_Maharastra.pdf

But the advertisement which pronounces launching of the plan says it costs Rs 200. Tata_Lifetime.pdf

Which one is to be believed?

I have found many a times in reputed comapanys' website that they update data in a lethargic manner. So, how can one be sure that this plan will not be available nationwide? Their official website says that other circles are still offering lifetime plans for Rs. 489! How come this big disparity continue? This is not fair.

In today's world of falling rates in telephony, Tata has decided to go for negative revision of their tariff. In postpaid sector, Tata used to offer unlimited incoming free while roaming against Rs 150. They revised this plan to restrict it with 750 minutes of incoming calls free while roaming. Now they are going to restrict Tata to Tata local calls with that ceiling (750 minutes). It was unlimited local calls for Rs 75. Now the unlimited plan will cost Rs 125.

I wonder, what will they do with Rs 325 recharge card in prepaid sector. This card allows unlimited local calls Tata2Tata in a month. Will they raise this price also?
