Programming 1x/hsd Data Card To Remotely Perform Functions

Recommended Posts

Hi guys..

One of my friends (belonging to the IT Industry) has both Rel EC-325 & the new Huawei EC168C HSD Data card.

He was wondering whether he could apply a program to the device other than the default 'User Interface' that comes with the drivers.

This program could command the Data card to connect to the net, send/recv files and automatically dis-connect.

Can this be a possibility? Searched RImWeb but couldn't get any similar threads..

(Topic/Post updated for both CDMA 1x & HSD Cards)

He wants to keep these data card loaded laptops in certain locations and enable the laptop to do certain functions involving the Data Card.

can be done in Visual Basic and / or using AutoIT. Just a little playing around with the Huawei dialup in the Network Connections folder.
