Understanding The Settings Of The Reliance Hsd (evdo) Card

I picked up a Reliance Broadband+ card (ZTE 8710).

I am now trying to read the settings on the card so that I can try the same on my treo 755p.

So far,

a. I am able to read the ESN and MIN from the card (using CDMA workshop program)

b. But I have not been able to read the EVDO settings as I have CDMA workshop v2.7 which does not read EVDO settings. I know CDMA updater v3.4 reads the EVDO settings but I have still not been able to do so. This is because my ZTE USB modem takes COM port 9 or above. The demo version of CDMA workshop v3.4 only reads uptil com7 in the demo mode.

My question to the group:

a. Does anyone else know a better way to read the data off the ZTE card?

Any other suggetsions on the above are also welcome.

Use QPST OR QXDM to read cdma parameters. most important thing is akey or ssd which is very very very difficult - so far to read. Still u can try, because nothing is impossible .

I tried this over the last week but could not solve it.

I was able to change the COM port of the card to any one below COM6 so that trial version of CDMA Workshop would work. However this did not help much.

I was unable to read the akey or EVDO settings.

Lets see if someone else is able to dig it more. For the time being, I will not be trying this anymore.

well people have been able to make treo 755 work with evdo so its not impossible for sure ....

the only thing is that by simply using esn amd min wont help

akey is imp parameter which needs for evdo along with hdr settings .

but as i said people in US have done it so its not at all impossible

afaik versio 3.3.5 and above arent cracked

There are solved version of CDMA workshop available. If you do not have let me know. I will post on rapid share.

if you have ver 3.2 or above, then please share. I tried with ver 2.7 but it did not help.

but yes u can try with tools lke qxdm and unicdma

i think few rimwebians must be having cdma workshop 3.4 ...may be they can help

cdma workshop 3.3 and above are not cracked and probably wont be cracked any time soon as people prefer buying it and getting 1yr free customer support rather than using a cracked copy .

the new version seems a lot better and worth buying for people who deal in cdma phones

2.7 is not useful for me. And I do all this as a hobby, I donot deal in cdma phones; and therefore would not be buying the higher version.
