santhoshavanoor 7 Report post Posted December 26, 2009 I have seen in Nokia website that they have introduced new firmware for Nokia 5800 xpress music Edition. Firmware version is 31.0.0.8. My firmware version is 30.0.011. I tried to update my firmware with new firmware Thru OTA or thru OVI software updater, but failed. It is showing that there are no update is available. Whats the problem? Do anyone knows about this? Also can anybody please tell me how can I manually update my software?
ashzoomerintrack 1 Report post Posted December 26, 2009 You can rather try NSU instead of OVI. It works flawlessly for me.

santhoshavanoor 7 Report post Posted January 18, 2010 ^^^^ A good news from you... But how can we upgrade with this version? From where we can get the software download? Is it beta version? Is it officially launched by Nokia? Can you please clarify?
sgiitk 32 Report post Posted January 18, 2010 Also there is no major update b/w 31.0.0.8 & 30.0.011. This looks like a not so minor update. Versions go as a.b.c.d then changes in d and c are essentially minor bug fixes, b a minor upgrade and a a major upgrade,
santhoshavanoor 7 Report post Posted January 22, 2010 Yesterday I have been changed my Firmware to 40.0.0.5 using NSS(Nemesis Service Suite). And the kinetic scrolling is very handy. But Main Menu and Applications menu doesn't have kinetic scrolling.
