How To Load Tata Prl Files In Qpst 2.7 Build 323 Service Programming

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

May I know how to use QPST 2.7 build 323 Service Programming to load Tata prl files to Verizon BB 8130?

I was able to get to a point which gets me into Service Programming dialog box. What next? Should I use CDMA or CDMA-2 tab to write 2 prl files of Tata?

Would be awe-some if you all can pitch in with step by step for Newbies like me.

Thanks

I have a Verizon BB 8230 Pearl Flip, an MEID based handset and want to activate TATA Prepaid using Insta Handset Change.

From RIMweb...I got Tata prl. It has 2 files Tata1 and Tata2.

As per your advice, I used QPST and uploaded prl files from Roam tab.

Does MEID handset need any other inputs in additional to uploading prl?

Thank you very much.

^^^

No, PRL is same for MEID and ESN base hansets

only few handset required HSD prl and some old phone wants 1x PRL.

But in your case any PRL should work, also as it is tata you should use PRL ver 2

Prl ver 2..U meant Tata-NAM1 and Tata-NAM2 files dated 17/12/2008?

I searched through RIM web and found this. Please confirm. Else, do provide the link pls.

I did program Blackberry Pearl 8230 with TATA prl and tried using Insta Handset Change Card. When I enter the 14 digit PIN..in BB 8230, it says IVR says your handset cannot be programmed.

I am trying to activate Tata Indicom Prepaid connection in Hyderabad. I heard that Tata discontinued activating programmable phone on Pre-Paid. Is it true?
