Recommended Posts

Hi guys i m a Linux user so decided u do this small tutorial for all rimweb members i use bb8830 due to recent success of 1x on PC given by Dr. MUFI i was thinking can we access that INTERNET on PC in Linux and i found this Berry4All is a free, open-source software for using your Blackberry on alternative OS'es (Linux ). Main feature of Berry4all is tethering (use the blackberry as a modem)

USE following in Ubuntu terminal ..

sudo apt-get install python libusb-dev ppp python-usb ( Ubuntu )

or

yum install python libusb-dev ppp pyusb ( FEDORA )

If you want to use the GUI, you will also need wxpython

sudo apt-get install python-wxgtk2.8

Download Berry4All: http://bitbucket.org/tcolar/berry4all/downloads

Until i make a proper application launcher, it will need to be started from a terminal.

Start a terminal.

Go into the berry4all folder (Ex: cd bbtether) and run sudo ./berry4all.sh.

done ..
