Good news,
OTA update for incredible 2 aka s710d
I am download OTA update but how to install it ,
I am tried with fastboot and recovery but not success,
Please guide how to install it

it came ota and i even downloaded it but while installing it aborted saying failed.
later i was told by parin bhai that one should not do this update as it
will probably ruin settings.

just read the topic name again. i dont think it was ics as the sheer amount of short time it took to download, it cant be ics.

I have Seend Incredible2 Getting Bricked While Taking OTA Update on couple of phones, So All Incredible2 users dont Take any OTA

The only reason of handset Bricking while OTA is updated bootloader (hboot), Revolutionary S-OFF does not work with this version. This update either won't install or you will end up with Which Screen & HTC.

I have just downloaded this update, But have not tried flashing it since I do not have any handset with me...

Phones S-OFF with Revolutionary will not work.

Try http://www.htcdev.com/bootloader to S-OFF your phone.

If you are already Rooted using Revolutionary on 0.97. Do S-ON (Going back to Froyo, Flashing hboot manually & back to GB with hboot 0.98). Than use http://www.htcdev.com/bootloader method.

HTCDEV will work on .98 boot
Tried on .97 but fastboot oem get_identifier_token command gives error


Also Tried it loading from bootloader but Seems its not a RUU

Some one donate me a phone... I would have you Official ICS without Chinese Applications.. :P

and Verizon ICS would be released by August End (without Assurance)
