If one can uninstall all the sprint apps and voice mail, also Google plus, Google movies magazines .

You ll have practically 1% idle loss with data and WiFi off in about 8 to 10 hours.

I'm on FI27 official with root. Is it a good dea to move to FL16 directly? Would I have to remove the photos of contact icons as adviced for earlier versions? Would the internal drive get wiped?

You can use the nodata rooted one click. No need to remove contact photos as it has been solved.

There is absolute no need to remove contact photos to upgrade to fl16 and all your data remains intact including all the apps you have installed.

You must have had a corrupt download

Don't panic

Refiwnload the file

Re check md5 that it matches.

Put the phone in download mode and flash again.

Use no data version of any build and you will be good.

Do make sure your cable and ports are working fine.

if the phone is stable and there are no force closes and you are not having any other kind of issues

just let it discharge to 5% turn it off and put to charge

repeat it a couple of times and you ll see a major improvement

Dirty flash does that many times.

Try and backup your data and apps using my backup root.

make sure that the rerware folder is stored in SD card and not on internal storage.

Will add a full rooted restore link of the fl16 ROM.

Flash that via Odin.

later on restore your data.
