You bought from Parin bhai direct right? Then I guess it's in stock. What did you do after you got from him?

Yes you can. It works both ways, but one at a time, either GSM or CDMA.

Ok got it, it being a single sim phone.

But thats too good, one can switch between gsm and cdma networks as and when required.

But what about 3G??

Does it support EVDO as well as 3G on GSM?

I have a GSM S3, wud definately want to go for this world phone.

u mean to say that S3 will work with RUIM staright away. (call + msg + evdo)

no need to do *228 / retention.

Programming is required. Now evdo works without SIM also. No more no SIM card error.

Not getting good evdo speed on S3.

I tried flashing an older modem of S3 but still no luck.

Has anyone tried to flash other models modem on Sprint S3 for better EVDO results?

Hi Guys

I m a new entrant on the S3 Bandwagon. Have been able to get a Verizon GS3. Now I can see from the recent posts that EVDO works with RUIM . I have been using this phone as programmed for Reliance. OTAS and EVDO request have been sent already.

Can someone guide on using RUIM with EVDO or any tweak required for that

That is correct speed, 2mbps only early morning. Your phone is alright, no need to do anything. We are talking about 2g here.

Vinod Bhai, its not 2Mbps its 0.20 Mbps.

I am talking about EVDO.

Had read that EVO 4G LTE has better EVDO speed so shifting to EVO 4G LTE.

0.2mbps at full traffic. 2mbps I have recorded many times early morning, sometimes on Sunday. Depends on what kinda b/w is allocated to that area. Not sure about HTC, I suggest you test and then decide. I get anywhere between 0.5mbps to 1mbps at any given time.

I would like to share my experience:

Might sound a little strange:

Try removing the back cover,

at times I got more than 2 Mbps :w00t:

Without the back cover...

Strange naa...
