Maulik.Parekh 34 Report post Posted September 22, 2013 Dear Gurus, I had bought LG Optimus G LS970 from one of our sellers. Tried to transfer the MDN. Following are the steps done .. 1. Went to WW and asked to transfer the no. on new MEID. 2. Tried *228 and got message the phone could not be activated. 3. Then realized that it must be OTAF issue as i was not able to get MBAL information as well. 4. Got OTAF done from the seller. 5. Still I am not getting data. Tried *228 and it is now asking for 9 digit PIN. In short, I am screwed up now for DATA. Earlier when I programmed my motorola photon, I got data signal without OTAF. I did not use *228 at that time. KapilAgrawal 340 Report post Posted September 23, 2013 1x should work in every case. OTAF is must for evdo but not for 1x. Once you enter MIN, 1X should work. Its a Prepaid, so after successful OTAF, *228 will ask for 9 digit pin. 1 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
Maulik.Parekh 34 Report post Posted September 23, 2013 Ok .. With help of reliance Netconnect guy i was able to get my data working on LG Optimus G. They re provisioned 1x/EvDO and it started working. Point to note .. when I was earlier using Motorola photon.. i mailed netconnect+ and they activated EvDO for me even when OTAF was not done, yes OTAF was not done.
