The Best Nokia Series 40 Colour Phone

Guys!

I'm planning to buy a Nokia Colour GSM Phone.

And I want following facilities in it:

1. It should be a Series 40 phone. (The main thing)

2. It must support AMR Ringtones.

3. Camera & Radio r not necessary, But if they r then Badhiya hai!

3. Not very costly (under 10-11K)

So pls now suggest me Nokia phones, which i should buy.

I searched a lot on net & found 1 phone falling under all these conditions.

Nokia 6220.

Its a Series 40 phone, that i wanted.

It also supports AMR ringtones.

It has Camera, Video Recorder, FM Radio.

And cost is 11K approx. (Don't know exactly)

So What u guys think?

Is it a good idea to buy this one?

If u guys think about ne other phone falling under these conditions, pls tell me.

is the best phone between 7K-11K it has lots many feature other than specified on the net. and its hep memory is much better then nokia 6220

But its a quite costly than 6220 (2K extra approx.)

6230 will cost u about 11k, and dont buy 6220 for 11k its really out of date and internal memory is only 2.5 MB. better go for 6230 wth internal 5mb + 32MB MMC card come with phone.

Wait for a day or two ill let u know the price of these phones, which will be cheaper thn anywhere u planing to buy.

So guys pls let me know ur opinions about these phones!

Which is the BEST one.

Their known bugs & problems if any.

So I can make a final decision which one I should buy!

6230i!! Y go for 6220, its such an old fone? Besides 6230i is sleeker, has an mp camera, bluetooth and mmc. I haven't compared the 6230 and the 6230i. See which one suits you, but i wouldnt reccomend the 6220.

yes nokia3220 supports AMR and its memory heap for java appliactions is 512Kb. and some cool features about this set that it has wave meaasging feature and its grips are too cool nokia3220 is the best choice for the sets between 6K-10K. Delears price of this set is 7174INR and u can get it for 7250INR

Well 6230 is best option for u IMO. and check ur pockets if u can go for 6230i it comes with cool 80MB internal flash memory and some really cool features.

well advice u to remove 6220 from ur list.

wanna ask u y u stuck to S40 ?? even S60 phones also availble in ur budget, like 6600 11400/- price of new handset in mumbai.

With S60 u can do lot more things thn S40.

I'll not go for 6220.

I hv also read on some site that 6220 has a s/w bug that it restarts sometime automatically when connecting to GPRS.

So now 2 choices:

6230 & 6230i

Can u tell me the price difference between them?

One more thing!

I hv heard that for GPRS Internet Class 10 mobiles r the best. Is it true?

And what it means? What r class 10 mobiles?

And is 6230 or 6230i r class 10 mobiles?

Is class 10 mobiles r best or there r other mobiles that r above of these, like class 11?

I know nothing about this thing.

I asked today a Nokia dealer about the price of 6220 & 6230.

He told me that 6220 cost is 11K and 6230 cost is 14K.

I wonder why i should go 4 6230, when i can get 6600 in 12K only.

6230i is for 14300 here in mumbai, check with some local dealer they might give it to u in cheap to clear thier stock as this 6230 is not tht hot selling phone, one more thing if u going for 6600 just have a look at 6260 its damn cool handset IMO. and its support both .jar and .sis files. will cost u around 13500 in grsy market. and u get 1.3 MP camera comparing to 6600's normal VGA.
