World's Laaaargeeeeest Photo !

Recommended Posts

This reminds me of the physics of an optical camera (as studied in class 8th).

In that camera, all the rays from the object to the image must pass thru the "optical center" of the convex lens (this was to ensure that "dirty rays", which damage the image, are blocked or diverted away from the image (i.e. the chemical film screen).

Question is --> can we build an convex lens (+ a large enough pinhole in front of it), which ensures than none of the "dirty rays" manage to reach the film, for such a large view as above?

Otherwise, my guess is the image above it obtained by merging more than one images, shot at different points in time (and from different angles), but from the same position of the camera. (this is the more likely case).

nice .... :) 360 :D

there's been atleast half a dozen 'photos' competing for the worlds biggest /highest-resolution title....

in a real sense, some get 'disqualified' as they were made 'stitching' together a lot of smaller ones... composites.

one GB pictures have been made, i think...

try googling "Gigapixel"... u'll be amazed.
