Exactly Tanveer,

Same Issue I had raised in the pros & Cons of thsi phone...Read below...

Hi Schumi

I have used this phone and know almost all features, had few issues.

1. If you want to check the calls list by clicking on the lower left key you will get the list of calls dialled, but it wont show the whole call list (Incoming,Missed, Rejected). Incase you wanna make a call to a number from where you previously recieved a call then you have to go to the Log and open recieved calls and from there you can dial the number....

Is there any way where when i click on the lower left key it will show me all the calls?

There should be someway....I dont think Nokia can make such a software where this basic thing is missing.

2.Also another thing which I dont like is the volumes button on the right side of the phone. Theres noway where we can adjust the volumes through the menu. what if in future the those buttons dont work properly? I think there should be atleast 2 options in the phone for each feature.

3. When you activate the Meeting profile with the follwing settings....and then you recieve a call, you will have option only to dismiss the call, you cant put the vibrator off by pressing once and then disconnect when you press it for the second time.

a. Incoming call alert - Off

b. Ringing tone- any

c. Incoming call video -off

d. Ringing Volume- any

e. Light Indicator - off

f. Vibrating alert - on

g. message alert tone- on

h. Keypad tones - off

i. warning tones - off

j. Alert for - All Calls

k. Profile Name - Meeting

Though I have found out a solution to this, by adding a ringtone which wont have any volumes (Blank tone) and then Put the Incoming call alert - on....when activated the phone will actually be ringing however as its blank it wont be audible and also will give the option to put it on silence which will turn the vibrator off thus saving the battery...

Let me know if there is any other way...I know its very long query however I think this is very basic problem which will be faced by many of us very soon...If no resolution then i think the solution i gave is the best.....

I have already posted the steps on Page 4,post number 48 under this topic only.Anyways I am listing the steps again :

1.Activate R-Connect on your number(It should be already activated).

2.Connect the handset and the laptop via Bluetooth.

3.Goto Control Panel>Printer and Other hardware>Phone n Modem options>Click on Modem tab>Click on the Bluetooth modem(Bluetooth DUN modem mostly)>Click on Properties>Advanced>In Extra Commands type at+crm=1;+cso=33.

4.Click on the Bluetooth Dial up Networking service which will be there in your Bluetooth software.Enter your username and password(Your mobile number without 0) and the Dialling number #777.

5.Thats it,I think you should get connected after you follow these steps.

I tried using Rconnect through my new HP laptop using Bluetooth and Nokia 6265. No Luck..

The phone starts dialing #777 and then it shows "Data Call Ended" and the error that pops up on the laptop is.. "The username and password was not accepted fo this domain"

Hi Schumi,

Rconnect has started via BT now. All I did was simply un-install & re-intall Bluesoleil software & DUN started working perfectly !

One problem still remains....Can't connect my 6265 thru pc suite via BT. It says no BT devices found. I tried thru IR & it's working perfectly....What is wrong here ?

Yunus

I also had the same problem after i upgraded my pc suite software..... still looking for a solution. in the meantime i've found a backdoor.

Go to the synchronise option under pc suite and then click on select phone..... then click on refresh in this window and u'll find your phone shown there. once you select your phone there, the pc suite will connect. i don't know why pc suite has stopped recognising the phone directly. earlier mine was working just fine. i'm looking for a solution...will post it when i find one

I dont see there is a dire need of having PC suite on your PC with this phone.

1. You can connect to internet without it.

2. You can install games and applications without it.

3. You can access your memory card without it.

The only point that i see in havin PC suite is that you can browse the phone memory through it. But since I do not have anything of significance on it, I dont need it.

The PC suite is a very usefull application if someone happens to use the synchronise feature...it will help you synchronise contacts, things to do, and calender items with MS outlook, outlook express or lotus organiser.

I use it extensively and find it usefull.

Anyway the built in feature of automatically transferring newly clicked photos, converting and transferring music into AAC or MP4 files and a basic multimedia player and 3gp converter make it a usefull thing to have. I agree that there is no dire need of having it but if you get used to it then its diffcult to imagine not having it at all.

does anyone know wher to purchase those semi transparent pouch for my Nokia 6265. The semi transparent pouches for 6600 which keep only the screen exposed while covering the rest of the body of the phone have a smooth feel and they r stretchable too...

anyone know wher to find these...???

I presume you are taling about lamination right?

strechable is Ok but to what extent?

I mean 6600 is not a slider phone so it wont have any problems but with this one you will have to have a great amount of elasticity in the piouch material for it to be used effectively.

i asked the same question before.... there is no permenant solution to this... you can switch off your mobile and then switch it back on... for some time or days... this city name will come and disappear itself in one or two seconds without you have to press exit button... I am still wondering why this procedure only works for few dayss... has anyone else got a better solution to this problem...

Did any one see the Nokia N91 advt in newspaper these days. It shows 2 models - GSM & CDMA. So that means it would work with Reliance? Can anybody confirm this?

hi frnds

if u really want to experience the true clarity

in picture and sound in 3gp format file, try the 3gp magic converter with following settings :-

Video

video codec -mpeg4

video size- 176x144

bit rate-512

frame rate-15

bit tolerence-60

Audio

Audio codec-mpeg4aac

bit rate-48

Sample rate -16000

channels-2 stereo

audio disable-false

Now encode any video file to 3gp2 with aforesaid settings, these

settings may take 3times the actuall size of 3gp but the quality will be Ultimate.

(PS)- Those need this magic bit converter download from the following

link uploaded again by me with keygen.

1.As you are using R-Connect using USB data cable then its not that complicated. And as you have mentioned that you have already downloaded the USB drivers then you just need to follow a few steps :

a.Goto Network Connections in your PC.

b.On the left hand side there will be a option to Create a New connection.Click on it.

c.Click Next and goto Connect to the Internet>Setup my connection manually>Connect using dial up modem. Then it will ask you to select the Modem and so select the Nokia USB Modem from the list.

d.It will ask you to enter the ISP name so enter Reliance and number is #777.

e.Then enter the Username and Password which is your mobile number without 0.

f.Then click next and finish the procedure.

g.Goto Control Panel>Printer and Other hardware>Phone n Modem options>Click on Modem tab>Click on the Bluetooth modem(Bluetooth DUN modem mostly)>Click on Properties>Advanced>In Extra Commands type at+crm=1;+cso=33.

h.Thats it you should get connected to the Internet and if not then please contact Reliance R-Connect dept. Also try uninstalling and reinstalling the USB drivers again. :Confuso:

2.Yes there is a option in Nokia PC suite to convert formats. If you want to convert any Video then play it using Nokia Multimedia Player and when its being played click on Convert n save option which is next to Open file button.(I have attached the picture).post-9849-1158751988_thumb.jpg

And to select the formats goto View>Options>Formats and select from the list. :GirandoOjos:

3.To transfer songs to your handset just follow these steps :

a.Connect your handset to the Pc suite using USB data cable or Bluetooth.

b.Under PC suite goto Nokia Music Manager>File>Scan PC for music files.Select the drive or folder from where you want to transfer Music.

c.Then select the songs and goto File>Copy to phone. It will take sometime for the process depending upon the number of songs selected.

d.After the songs have been copied to the handset then goto the list of songs on your handset by clicking on (Nokia 6265 >) under Nokia Music Manager to create a Playlist.

e.Select the songs you want to include in the Playlist then click on Create a New playlist button which is located at the left bottom side.(Picture attached) and then click on Save playlist.post-9849-1158752075_thumb.jpg

You cannot make Playlist using the handset. :Decepcionado:

f.After the Playlist has been created and saved then in your handset goto Music Player>Options>Track list>Options>Change track list>Select the name of your created Playlist. :)

The Media Player has the option to FF-Rew for Mp3 Songs only and not Videos. :Equivocado:

I am not aware of any software which can Rew-FF Videos in S40 handsets. :Ohhhh:

The Phone is definetly good, maybe the best is Reliance offered CDMA sets. The only thing you should not expect is "Its not a s60 phone" this is Java based S40 phone. Otherwise yes this phone offers almost all best features todate. If you are planning to stick to Reliance for some decent time then no hassles go ahead and get it....

Well I think that you need to decide by reading all the posts under this thread. All members have mentioned its Positives and Negatives and now you have to decide whether it suits you or no. :Decepcionado: Obviously the Price is the biggest factor but if you are willing to stay with Reliance for long then it shouldnt matter much. :Ohhhh: The demand has been very good for this handset and it shows how the handset is.There have been a few unlucky people for whom Nokia 6265 has not been worth its price. But I am totally satisfied with its performance and features. :) Now features like WAP has been disabled from Reliance so you cant blame Nokia 6265 for it.But I think Reliance will sometime eventually start WAP again maybe with high charges. :Equivocado:

Hi,

There is one more phone from Reliance coming with almost same features. Its LG Chocolate. Dun have more info about it right now. But will soon post u details as and when i receive. Meanwhile u can search for this handset on Google.

Only problem with N6265 is its SMS storage capacity. which i feel LG ppl wud have sorted. Coz i was able to store 130 sms without any memory on my olg LG handset. If the chocolate handset has more memory for sms then its a good choice. But yeah, LG may not be supported by all the games and apps which are available for N6265. So lets just start gathering info about it.

Guys,

Has anyone tried talking to nokia ppl regarding sms storage probem of N6265?? I called them up on 30303838 but cud not get trhu. will soon try it out. May be they have any firmware update to allow us storing more sms. If u guys have more info bout it then plz share.

Monji.
