Today, Samsung is showing off SideSync, a new way for your Galaxy device and PC to work in tandem. Once you hook your Galaxy up to a PC with the software and app installed, your device then becomes an extension of the PC, allowing you to access certain device features from the PC and vice versa. For example, if you are working on a Word doc on the PC, then need to leave the Starbucks, you can simply drag and drop the file onto your phone and make your escape. The app is available through the Samsung Apps app found on your Samsung device, so go check it out. As a reminder, you will need to have a Samsung account to download it, so make sure to get one of those.

all indian smartphone brands with android 4+ above rs. 10 k will flop in the market since the foreign brands dominate this space so from this thread, my predictions are: Umi X1S QuadCore, HD Display For Rs. 10,500 needs a 5-6% discount Zen Ultrafone 701 HD Launched For Rs. 11,999 needs 17-18% off Stellar Pinnacle Pro Mi-535 With Quad-Core CPU For Rs. 14,990 needs 33-34% off [lowest volumes] A115 Canvas 3D For Rs. 9,999 is the only one correctly priced and will do the highest volumes among all indian smartphones this is not fancy marketing - but simple sales basics [understand your target demographic!] my guess for indian feature phones is about $100 or rs. 5.5 k above which foreign brands take over for 3g tablets, i would estimate upto rs. 7 k for 7" and rs. 10 k for 10". at the magical rs. 1 k / inch price point soon 5" phablets with 3g will touch rs. 5-6 k and get big volumes in 2014. lcd tv volumes took off once 32" was down to rs. 32 k; even led tv will become mass market at these prices [for foreign brands regardless of manufacturing locations] indian brands will have to compete aggressively on price to get traction domestically this will also apply about a year after 4g is launched nationwide [top dozen cities] another way to boost modern retail volumes is to offer 0% emi on various cards for all android4 and 4g handsets [when available] here's my usage review of the a9+ at rs. 6.5 k: http://www.mouthshut.com/review/karbonn-A9-review-ouunpsrlrr

Kshah ji, I read you reply And indeed children should learn the value of money no matter what. One thing that made me add a reply here is your comment about storing grains for 1 year. Actually there is a proper reason, health related reason for that and the practice is there all over India ( at least its pretty common in north India where I belong) The reason behind is : grains which are of last year's crops are lighter on digestion and are considered healthy to eat. Ancient text says eating grains from newer crop regularly makes you prone to diabetes. Reason could be overtime the glycemic index becomes more favourable. This generally applies to grains like wheat rice and stuff which is common to staple diet people. Just thought of sharing. God bless sent from my NOTE II, yupp size does matter.

Indeed what you said is right. Since it was my mistake, he categorically said 2013 and he asked me to buy from money he saved, I had no excuse left. We have made a deal that he will be given 20 bucks every fortnight (he is just 10 so this much is enough till now ) and he can buy junk food / things of his choice. If he wish he can skip taking money and but things of saved sum. I have taken him to the places where under privileged children lives but not to show what kind of life they live but to show that apart from having families kids do survive in hostels and they are not destitute, I do not believe in spreading philosophy "दुनिया में कितना गम है मेरा गम कितना कम है" rather I believe that miseries are miseries. Under estimating or over estimating misery is not necessary. It may sound very odd to many but I do not give away any thing to a person who can not afford such thing otherwise except education related stuff. Every one must earn their money. In Gujarat, storing food grains for the whole year is a custom. Just like prevalent society then, most people had limited financial resources so they were constrained to do many jobs themselves. My mother would offer us 10 paise per some measure of wheat cleaned. We all 3 siblings would earn few rupees and will save them to buy stuff for ourselves. When we grew old, my mother would offer we siblings to mop house / clean clothes / wash utensils and money saved on household help would be given to us. My father was government officer and we had lots of household help available free but was seldom used for these reasons. This way my parents taught us to earn money ourselves and I always believe it has been one of the greatest lesson we learn about life and importance of money. PM me your address, I will courier it to you.

^^^ Sir with due respect to you and your noble thought but todays spoilt kids be it yours or mine they wont want to adjust to things. "Kya papa pichle saal ka lake aaye mare paas to isme se sab cards hain." Last year I also did similar kind of mistake. Then we went to a orphanage near Kalyan and gave it to the children there. and they were overjoyed to use it. If possible take your son and make him explain the rules to children. Plan out a day of his vacation there. He also will feel good. I know it is not right to give something outdated, but for those under privileged ones even something outdated is Precious and gives joy to them. I am getting goose bums while writing this remembering the reactions of the children there.
