Just now I got a call from Reliance saying that on 10th May the 4G services will start and my number will be migrated to 4G. When I asked what will happen to my CDMA number.. He said.. "sorry uske liye main kuch bhi nahi kar sakta hu" hahahaha. Typical Reliance staff

Yes, in this age of consumer options, they are still thinking like Henry Ford, who had famously said "people can have it in any colour, as long as it is black" I would estimate the port out percentage at about 25% or even more. At least in circles where they have MTS, they should have followed a slow and steady policy.

That's the thing. There's no set rule for anything. I heard the "clear all pending dues first" at that store only. Seems like the store people can just about make up anything they consider as a rule.

There are no clarification by Reliance for close CDMA service. Reliance do lot advertising for upgrade 4g For CDMA customers. Rcom is watching how many cdma customers accept 4g. If the ratio is less than reliance continues for CDMA. Sent from my SM-G860P using Tapatalk

Prepaid number or Post paid?Which circle? He already said His 2000+ prepaid balance Sent from my Redmi Note 3 using Tapatalk What !!! As per http://www.rcom.co.in/Rcom/personal/4G/4G_overview.html the first step is to do FRC and then send SMS to 1299. Are you sure there was no requirement of FRC ((( Any one can confirm. (What's the use now.. already did FRC ( ) Didn't do any FRC for Dehi postpaid cdma. Just got the sim and registered. However as a postpaid customer I was asked to clear all pending dues before registering the new sim. They didn't even give me the sim till they saw I had more money in my a/c than my current bill.

Can I port in back ? Recently, recharged my cdma prepaid with 75 Rs. They call it LTE recharge. Then, RWW people gave me a 4G sim card & sent an SMS with 4G sim card details to 1299. So, I understand, when 4G is active, my CDMA will stop. Now, I get some indication that cdma may last little long. So, can I Take Back my Port Out request ? Any info ?

They are still giving new CDMA prepaid and postpaid connections in Gujarat. Some store guys upgrade the new customers to 4G after 24 hours of activation on CDMA. Sent from my K016 using Tapatalk

RCOM has missed a real opportunity to bring their customer into 4G fold, in a slow gradual manner by their choice & not by force. Like starting 4G quickly, keeping CDMA live for 3 to 6 months & keep requesting / enticing CDMA customers with good data offers to switch to 4G & only moderately mentioning that it will be closed in next 6 months. This would have given most of their customers a comfort, time to think & decide and act. Now, what as customer, I am feeling is I was in cdma stable one day & next morning, owner started pushing all of us out of that known stable to another unknown one, without any intimation / time to settle. People have more choices now a days with MNP, so what RCOM has done is big blunder. I have no data to support, but just a guess, that probably at the end of all this RCOM may loose their 5 to 20% loyal customers, who were with CDMA all those years and now, suddenly betrayed by their service provider. Today, got 2, 4G sim card, from web world, but felt like I "had" to buy this not I "should" buy this. No one knew at RWW, when 4G will start & CDMA will close. So, not only customers, even RCOM has not taken their partners also on Board... We will all get used to new things & forget older one eventually, but CDMA was a one of the real nice part of our life, for many years !!! Using CDMA (lately a rare service in most of the groups) while rest of all the guyz were on GSM, gave me a feel that I m owning a Macbook Air with Mac OS, in guyz surrounded by Windows. Long live CDMA
