I don't understand why VoLTE is being made to sound like a beast, much in advance.. Can you imagine voice travelling over data while you're simultaneously using other data, in a weak signal area? To what will phone give priority to? Voice or Data? Or Is the QoS pre-defined on VOLTE network? Sent from my A0001 using Tapatalk

That is crookedness of the webworld people in action. Even I received a call about 15-20 days back saying that CDMA is closing and to continue with GSM all I need to do is fill a form and give kyc. They were clever enough to offer sending someone to my place with the forms. When I countered that for 4G SIM there is no need to fill up any form, the caller was taken aback and murmured "ok so you know" and then disconnected.

I compared Idea, Reliance GSM and Uninor prepaids in Gujarat circle. There are many topups, recharges and schemes are available but I took only those which are meaningful and comparable. Here is the comprision Idea : Topup recharges : Rs.210/Value 210, 310/310, 400/410, 550/560 Reliance Topup : 85/95, 200/210, 310/340, 510/560 Telenor Topup : 60/60, 128/150, 168/200, 358/410, 518/628 Reliance base rate : 2p/Sec Local, 2.5p/Sec STD Telenor base rate : 1Re/min, 1.5 Rs/min Here is the killer : Uninor : Tariff Voucher : Rs. 4 for 1p/Sec anywhere Other tariff vouchers (All vouchers are compared on 28 days duration): Idea : Rs.44 (any mobile anywhere 1p/sec for 50days), Rs 27 (1p/sec for 28days), Rs. 178 (1 GB 2G) Reliance : Rs. 197 (300 min anywhere, then 50p/min, 1 GB), Rs. 49 (35p/min anywhere, Roaming free), Rs. 29 (29p/min anywhere), Rs. 149 (3GB 2G) Telenor : Rs. 4 (1p/sec anywhere), Rs 12 (1p/2sec any local), Rs. 18 (30p/min STD, 1st min of the day 60p/min), Rs. 43(30p/min anywhere), Rs 97 (1 GB) Vodafone and Airtel tariffs and topups are similar to Idea. Clearly Telenor has the best topup value and tariff schemes. But it comes along with cheap ad play. The 2nd best is the Reliance.

Secondly, even if 3G/4G signals are poor, 2G at least works well in 80-90% of the areas. Will VoLTE be as efficient OR rather be more efficient than 2G for basic voice calls? Remember, we're in India.. Although I do trust Mukesh bhai more than other telecom bosses.. Sent from my A0001 using Tapatalk

There are few issues I observed though. 1. Numbers with +91 are not dialling from dialler, Although sms works fine with +91. 2. I felt like speaker volume is low while on call 3. It worked fine with cdma yesterday but giving me problem today after changing gsm sims looks like need to rest phone. Find out by putting sim back in HTC one E8 that now it is picking up settings as gsm for CDMA so indeed Rcom is in process of migrating towards 4G, Although evdo still working in HTC one E8 and LTE is common for both CDMA and LTE.
