  1. This was bound to happen. There are millions of customers who do not recharge for months but enjoy incoming facility and telcos are burden with maintaining service to them without single paisa coming in. Due to extremely low plans, nad eroded margins, they can't afford such connections. The problem will be for those in lower income groups as only one connection is generaly used for outgoing and rest for incoming. It will be hard for them to maintain all connections.
  2. Rcom going to shutdown ??

Raise issue on pgportal and also on TRAI twitter handle
  3. Jio RCS Messaging

RCS (Rich Communication Services) for their calling app. The app that is used on 4G phones that do not have LTE.
  4. Please provide more information like whether you were using static IP or not, earlier it was working or not and exact error you are getting. You can also ask Jio to look into the matter. If, earlier you were using static IP then it will be problem. Jio do not support static IP as of now. So you need to have to service providers to work it.
  5. At present Jio is not allowing this. They are very reluctant to provide it for the reason best known to them. I tried many times, but never succeeded. Other option, take a number from Airtel/Vodaofone/Idea of your choice and after 90 days port to Jio.
  6. Since Jio starting making money, now they are going all out and Jio is aware of the fact that network issue persist for all the operators. These prices are insane and now God bless us as service will further deteriorate.
  7. I've started a petition for frequent call drops and poor net speed on mobile. Request you all to sign the same. I also request you to please ask friends and acquaintances to sign the same. It is for the all of us. Sign the petition
  8. We are going off topic as this thread is for Jio offers and I am also part of it.
  9. This is what even I argue. They are trying to attract more customers at the cost of service and quality. They should concentrate on QOS and customers will opt for them and even at high price.
  10. Jio always said that they will be 25% cheaper than AVoId and this what now they have done. But this tariff is killing the service. In my area, Khetwadi Mumbai 4, the speed is around 100Kbps on Jio while others have little higher speed. But call quality and network availability is worst for all. Can't make or receive calls even on road and if you are inside building, then forget about using a mobile.
  11. All these operators have some sort of capping on no of minutes used and on no of unique numbers called. I don't think such capping is there on Jio. Even though it should suffice normal users, they should highlight them. Vodafone T&C: Customers using more than 1000 minutes (local +STD) in any period of consecutive 7 days, will be charged at 30p per minute for rest of 7 days period (eg if a customer consumes 1000 mins on 2nd day),he would be charged for rest of the five days). Customers using more than 250 minutes (local+STD) in a day will be charged at 30 p per minute (local +STD), after consumption of 300 minutes for the rest of the day till midnight 0.00 hrs. Customers calling more than 300 unique numbers in any period of seven consecutive days will be charged at 30p per minute (local+STD) after 300 unique numbers, for the rest of validity of recharge. Idea T&C: Customers using more than 250 outgoing minutes (local+STD as per Unlimited Pack benefits) in a day will be charged at 1p/sec (local +STD), after consumption of 250 minutes for the rest of the day till midnight 0.00 hrs. Customers using more than 1000 minutes (local +STD as per Unlimited Pack benefits) in any period of consecutive 7 days, will be charged at 1p/sec for rest of 7 days period (e.g. if a customer consumes 1000 mins on 2nd day , s/he would be charged for rest of the five days). Customers calling more than 100 unique numbers in any period of seven consecutive days will be charged at 1p/sec (local+STD) after 100 unique numbers, for the rest of validity of recharge.
  12. Rcom going to shutdown ??

I'll suggest to put request on Twitter. RCOm handle is @RCommCare and also tag DOT (@DoT_India) adn TRAI (@TRAI). I got my issue with Hathway broadband faster by tagging DOT.
  13. This is generally done by agent or third parties and not from Digital stores. My friend who did it through agent paid 650 and break up is ₹ 459/- plan charge, ₹ 100/- Prime membership and ₹100/- service charge or whatever you want to consider. I ported 3 nos to JIo from Digital Xpress and they didn't charge anything while porting. They asked me to pay after numbers are ported. Visit the gallery and ask them. Did you get any receipt?
  14. Subscriber base of Jio has increased drastically without similar increase in infrastructure and that has resulted in pathetic speed. Actually we all should fight for good speed and voice calls rather than low cost.
  15. Rcom going to shutdown ??

My bhabhi has no balance on RCOM number and they didn't send any UPC. But when she tried to generate UPC, she got SMS stating that no need to change service as RCOM will continue. While my colleague has 3 RCOM nos in the family and got UPC without asking on all the numbers.
  16. Airtel V-Fibre is real?

The speed for V-Fiber depends on distance between your premise and exchange. I had received an offer from Airtel long back. But the filed technician informed that since my office far from their exchange, I will get max. 8Mbps. While one of my friends in different area is getting aroung 40Mbps speed as he is closer to the exchange.
  17. On MyJio app, you can login with SIM or specify a number and get OTP to log into that number.
  18. ^^^ this is stansted with Jio. They don't send any message on when Seychelles will be activated. Even I had similar issue. At midnight, phone just stopped and I realised when I woke up in the morning. As soon as I inserted Jio SIM, incoming started.
  19. Jus confused. Whether to recharge with ₹ 399 or wait for 19th for new plans..
  20. In today's DNA (mumbia edition) it says that new tariffs to be launched on 18th November, may see increase in price or discontinuation of 399/84 plan. I agree with @KanagaDeepan that such plans are adversely affecting the quality and none of the telcos are not willing to invest in network.
  21. Is there any details available on new plans? My plan is expiring on 24th of this month and have to recharge it.
  22. Tata has already informed its employees about closure of the company. They can leave anytime they want or can stay till 31st March 2018. It is also offering severance package or VRS. Only few employees whom they think can be useful to other group company will be retained. I think even landline service will also be discontinued.
  23. TRAI lowers IUC

Its good move. But then AVOId (Airtel/Vodafone/Idea) will oppose it. Really good move for the consumers.
  24. News Snippets

After Idea-Vodafone, now Tata and Airtel are in talks for merger for telecom & DTH. Source: Economic Times (Mumbai edition)
  25. Reliance JioFiber High Speed Broadband Internet

In Mumbai, it is not available across the city. There are few patches where it is available since more than a year and totally free. Nobody knows when it will be available.
