  1. I have old Jiophone handset and need to change. But there are important messages in whatsapp. How to take backup of whatsapp messages in Jiophone? Please guide me. It's Urgent
  2. If I recharge JIO with two plans i.e 509 plan and 999 plans and use 5 GB data per day, will it first use 2 GB high speed data of 509 plan and then high speed data of 999 plan or vice versa? I asked this question with JIO support, and they say "it will be combined" but could not explain what is meant by "combined" and kept saying "bus dono plan add ho jayenge" and that does answer my question. Needless to say, JIO customer support is stupid and untrained
  3. In the initial period of Jio preview launch, i had a jio number with which I updated my primary gmail id, later for some reason and I stopped using that number and that number got deactivated, problem is i don't remember that number either. Now i am using another jio number full time and everything else works fine except email id updation in my jio account. When I am typing that gmail ID it is saying This email ID is already registered. is there any way to detach email ID from old account and add it to my new number ?
  4. Reliance Jio Launches Prime Offer, Unlimited Benefits For 12 More Months
  5. I recently got the Moto G4 Play on Saturday. Got Jio Sim.I have put Jio 4G sim in slot 1. Things are working fine and I am getting LTE and VOLTE .But at randomly, my LTE sim signal is getting lost and sim 1 is showing emergency calls only & No sim card. All I need to do is to go to sim settings and disable sim 1 and again enabling it will bring signals back or just turn aeroplane mode on and off . This is happening randomly during a day and happening every 2 to 3 hours 7-8 times in a day. I even dont know that signal is lost unless I take my phone of pocket to make calls or check messages. I have even tried to put second Jio 4G sim to check but same is happening with second sim also with the jio join app installed. It works fine for few hours and then goes to same no signal emergency calls only. So I am confused whether its an issue with sim or phone? Anyone else facing this issue in their phones. Called Jio customer care they said they are making some changes due to which this issue is happening. But in the Lyf phone with the same sim there are no issues at all. Also i found a similar post in XDA for the same issue but for a different model Moto G 3rd Gen. Tried couple of steps given there but did not fix the issue. Phone is updated with all the latest updates. http://forum.xda-developers.com/2015-moto-g/help/volte-sim-issue-moto-g-3rd-gen-t3298334 Any suggestions what to do as i got the phone from Amazon. Should i ask for replacement ?

  7. Reliance Jio, the latest telecom company to enter the market, has started its fiber to home operations in Chennai — making the southern city only the third telecom zone to experience the service, after Mumbai and Gujarat. The address of JioFiber has been given as 2nd Floor, Prestige Palladium Bayan, Greems Road, Chennai 2. The offer promises a speed of 100 Mbps, and states that a 5 GB true-HD movie will download in less than seven minutes on the connection. source
  8. Reliance JIO SIM activation is taking quite some time now. I collected the token on 25th August 2016 from Reliance Digital (not mini). Submitted my documents and collected SIM (Prepaid) on 26th August 2016. Was told that it may take up to 10 days for the SIM to get activated. Finally received message from JIONET "Dear Customer, Thank you for choosing Jio. We have received your application for new connection. Your order number is ....... Thank you, Team Jio" on my alternate number on 1st September 2016 after midnight (i.e. 1:00 AM on 2nd Sept). Again received message from JIONET "Dear Customer, Due to overwhelming response to our Jio Preview Offer, there may be some delays in activating your connection. We will inform you via SMS once your Jio number 70XXXXXXXX is ready for televerification. Thank you, Team Jio" on my alternate number on 3rd Sept 2016 evening. Still waiting eagerly but with patience for next message. Tomorrow is 5th Sept and if my SIM gets activated tomorrow or later then it will be Welcome offer by default I think. UPDATE: (4rth September 2016) Viola! Activation Message Received just now on my alternate number that my number is ready for televerification.
  9. Those who are confused about how to use or avail Jio's Hotspot or Wifi data. 10. Reliance Industries Ltd (RIL) chairman Mukesh Ambani spoke at RIL's 42nd Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Thursday. According to experts, one of the major focuses of the AGM would be regarding Reliance Jio — the recently launched mobile telephony, broadband services, and digital services provider. Here are the top announcements from the AGM: 1) Jio is dedicated to the Digital India vision of the prime minister, to my fellow 1.2 billion Indians and India. 2) India is 155th in the world for mobile broadband access, Jio will take the country to the top 10. 3) Jio has created an all-IP network. There is only language spoken on the Jio network. We will have a single digital mother tongue. The all-IP design also makes Jio's network the most expansive and future-proof network in the country. Jio is a data strong network built for the Internet from the ground up. By March 2017, we will cover 90 per cent of India's population. It is the first mobile network that is only 4G LTE. 4) All voice calls for Jio customers will be absolutely free. Roaming charges will also be zero across India. 5) The onboarding process will now be 100 per cent digital, using Adhaar-based EKYC, starting today from Mumbai and Delhi. 6) Jio apps bouquet will be available complimentary up to December 31 2017. 7) Effective rate of data would be five paise per MB, or Rs 50 per GB. 8) All complex telecom charges, like black-out days, eliminated. 9) Jio's services will be free of cost to all users from September 5 to December 31, 2016. 10) Jio's commercial launch will be on December 31. 11) Special offers for students with 25 per cent more data. 12. With a soft launch expected later this month in at least a few cities for Jio services, here are their preview websites that are getting ready for the launch. jioconnect.com appears to be the portal for Jio MiFi, WiFi & FTTH services. The preview website is available at: http://preview.jioconnect.com:7777/ FAQ page has lots of information: http://preview.jioconnect.com:7777/cs/jio/support.html jioworld.com seems to be the website for the Jio World app for connecting to Jio WiFi hotspots from your phone. Apps are not seen in Play Store or iTunes store yet. The preview website is accessible here: http://49.40.2.94:8080/cgi-bin/gl_productpage.py FAQ page for the Jio World app is accessible at: http://www.jioworld.com/wordpress/frequently-asked-questions/ jio.com is the primary website for Reliance Jio, but I couldn't find any preview website for it yet. wifi.jio.com was listed in the FAQs as intranet login URL for Jio WiFi services. I think they will initially (later this month?) start MiFi service, WiFi hostspots and FTTH along with the digital media services in a few cities. When I called up the newly opened Reliance Digital Xpress Mini store in Trivandrum, they said that it is unlikely to start this month here. 4G/VoLTE services on your handset like a conventional mobile service provider might be starting later next year only, probably since the network isn't ready yet in all circles and everywhere. A full fledged network is needed for that. Interestingly, there is a "Volte Basic Offer" listed in the products page though with not much details. There is also a "K Touch" phone picture in the home page which is a Chineese brand: http://www.k-touch.cn/en/lte Also interesting to see this in the FAQ: "If you move out of 4G coverage area, you will be automatically latched on to 2G/3G network" - they don't have a 2G/3G network to fallback though? The listed MiFi devices use Band 40 (2300 Mhz), could they be looking to use Band 3 (1800 Mhz) for handsets later? I'm not sure if the Rs.1 and Rs.4 for FTTH (installation charge?) are placeholders to be updated earlier or could they be actual pricing considering that it's from Mukesh Ambani?
