  1. Better call me as it will be easier to guide you over the phone. Also call me anytime as per your convenience. I am free till Monday Sent from my SPH-D710 using Tapatalk 2
  2. Anytime man, the least I could have done. Btw as you said you are on ff18 now may I know what is the battery juice you are getting from your phone. As I said earlier I din't have much of a luck with ff18 either. However the problem was just limited to battery drain. If you are not satisfied with ff18 I would recommend going back to stock gb EL29 ota if you prefer stock. My current setup is stock EL29 GB OTA with root and I am quite happy with the battery backup as well as there no network issues so far. If you plan to do so you will have to odin the EL29 GB rom. For this you will have to use the full wipe version as you are currently on ICS and downgrading back to GB with applications from ICS can brick your phone. If you want to accomplish it and not sure how to proceed ping me I will walk you through as it is very easy. Just need to take a backup of your contacts and SMS however all app data will be lost.
  3. Under titanium backup pro you can freeze apps or services that you do not which to execute while using the phone. You can unfreeze them when you need them back. AFAIK the only problem should be that you will loose the root that is all after you update the OTA. You can try unfreezing the sprint bloatware before you proceed. Best of luck with this OTA in my case I had a very bad experience with regards to battery, signal and auto shutdown issue. but I can't deny the fact that there are people actually loving it and I can vouch that my phone was much more snappier with this OTA.
  4. The problem may be something else. You can try CPU Spy and Better Battery Stats to identify it. Vishal I had Better Battery Stats to check partial kernel wakelogs also had Watchdog and Onovo data count to alert me of any rouge apps. But it was not much of a help. This issue has been reported by tons of users over XDA on FF18 OTA. Sprint has realesed a new OTA FH13 to address this issue and the change log clearly says (Battery drain issue fix) To cut it short given the kind of person I am I was unable to resist the temptation to flash the FH13 OTA to fix this issue, but to my horror it went worst from worse. Issues like SOD (Sleep of death) and phone auto shutdown surfaced. So bye bye ICS and I flashed stock EL29 GB back to my phone and voila my phone is as good as new now I am on 60% battery now with 11+ hours of usage which has some good texting 30 mins of calls 2 hours of music playback. On ICS I would be on my 2nd battery by now. Meanwhile sprint has a new OTA FH26 ready to be rolled out in steps I will not consider ICS until we have a battery efficient kernel and modem for the stock. AFAIK the ICS rom is very good on FH13 I felt the phone was more snappier but the issues like phone shutting down by itself is not acceptable.
  5. Review: Size XXL - Samsung Galaxy Note (N7000)

Awesum review Kartik. +1. However with more than 3 hours of screen usage and autosync on (in your case) if your battery last 1 1/2 days I guess it is not bad at all. Even a close friend of my is quite happy with the battery life. Also one other friend of mine downgraded back to GB from ICS due to ram and battery issues.
  6. I was really pissed off from the ICS update ff18. This update scre^&* my phone battery for good. I am unable to make even 7 hours from the phone with just the EVDO on and all the sync disabled as well as screen brightness set to the lowest on top of I never use wifi, gps or bluetooth at my place of work. My usage is just some texting and say 1 hour of calls in total. At times even after carrying an extra oem battery I am unable to make it back from work. I was planning to shift to some custom rom today however I saw on XDA about a new OTA build fh13 This update is realeased to address the battery drain issue due to ics ff18 ota and will be rolled out in stages however if you do not wish to wait please visit XDA here. There are two versions of it one with full data wipe and the other with just the update with data preserved please check before you update. Finally I would recommed to wait for a day or two to see the reviews about how it is going before we jump in to the ship like I did with ff18. I do not want to differ DK sir but for me ff18 drains the battery a lot. P.S Guys please Do NOT perform factory resets using stock recovery or privacy->reset, at least until you read about the EMMC superbrick/lockup bug and understand what the trigger points are and what you are exposing yourself to.
  7. Samsung Galaxy S3

Though it is highly unbeilivable but if you say so I agree, In this case it can match up with Razr maxx I guess.Really if it is has this great battery I would love to switch over as hitesh bhai has already tempted me to switch due to call conferencing feature which i miss thoroughly. However still even s2 has more ram 829 to be precise and any given point of i atleast have 300 mb ram free, Moreover I too have read about lte notoriosly killing services and apps to save ram. Though I am not sure how much this aggressive behaviour would impact normal day to day working.
  8. Samsung Galaxy S3

I dare note differ parin and Rajan bhai. Afaik non removable battery will be a huge disadvantage over S3. With such a huge display I really doubt it will last for 8 to 10 hours with 3g on. Moreover I feel superamoled is more battery friendly compared to Lcd2 technology. Also I have seen reviews where people prefer amoled over lte as though lte has a fantastic display but it still looks washed out in front of amoled at times. (matter of choice) Further back to the original point myself using a epic 4G touch (display 4.5 as compared to 4.7 on lte) with stock setup and gps wifi bluetooth off and display set to least possible setting however with evdo on full time can hardly make 8 hrs that to if I don't call much. And I carry an additional oem battery to swap after the first one dies. Considering these stats a user who needs to be on 3g all the time and is on the move would prefer s3 over lte just for the removable battery. P.S I understand that it is a smart phone and you have to live with the battery life. But no matter how good the phone is if it is not able to serve its purpose I guess it will be not be worth for certain users. Just my 2 cents. Sent from my SPH-D710 using Tapatalk 2
  9. The above mentioned step will disable the data when call comes in if you have evdo active on your phone. Sent from my SPH-D710 using Tapatalk 2

  12. SwiftKey 3 beta starts to make the spacebar obsolete SwiftKey -- the Android Central 2011 keyboard of the year -- has declared war on the spacebar. Never mind that its April Fool's joke actually was to introduce the world's longest spacebar. The latest update to SwiftKey -- dubbed SwiftKey 3 -- introduces, among other features, Smart Space. Traditionally, Android keyboards use the spacebar as a means to select a suggested word. Or, perhaps, to put a space in a sentence. Or to insert a period at the end of a sentence. Smart Space takes advantage of SwiftKey's Fluency prediction engine and goes a step further than any other keyboard we've used. You no longer have to put spaces between words when typing. (It does still do the traditional space and punctuation thing, though.) OK, so that's nottosayyouwantotypelikethisforanextendedperiodoftime. But for small groups of words, SwiftKey 3 can take something like "jerryistheneckbeardking" and turn it into "Jerry is the neckbeard king," all without you having to do anything but type the letters. We've been using SwiftKey 3 for several weeks now, and the results really are remarkable. Other additions in SwiftKey 3 are two new themes. There's "Cobalt," which matches SwiftKey's redesign, and "Holo," which was voted on by its VIP community. And we're only half-joking about getting rid of the spacebar. It's actually been made a little bigger in this release. Punctuation has been moved around, too, with the comma, period, question mark and exclamation point all sharing a key. (Some of us aren't too thrilled with that move.) Seven more languages have been added -- Korean, Estonia, Farsi, Icelandic, Latvian, Lithuanian and Serbian -- for a total of 42. You've really got to try this one out to believe it. One slight catch here -- SwiftKey 3's still in beta, and you can only get it through their VIP community. So hit the link below and give it a shot. It's available for tablets and smartphones. Demo video's after the break. 21. I am not sure what happen in your case but I was definitely able to reach them through phone. There cc is located in Delhi. The shipping turnaround time is quite good imho at least for last 10 15 transaction I did. Two items that I had ordered recently was delayed say like by a week or so meanwhile I got an email from their cc department without myself inquiring about it. They stated they are looking it to the delayed shipping issue and then with next 3 days these items were delivered to me. Yet again you can never be sure at times we do face problems like these i.e in my case home shop 18 took almost 3 months to deliver my micro wave.
