  1. Try RTN reset or ##786#. Factory reset from stock recovery by volume up+ power. If nothing works, install stockROM.zip from stock recovery. It is available on unleashedprepaids.com Sent from my 710C using Tapatalk
  2. PPObox again in customs net this July. Professional importers need to be careful this month. Avoid used phones' import temporarily. Packages are delayed for a fortnight in NY hub but PPO does not themselves confirm its a customs issue.
  3. Do not buy Motorola Moto E xt1528 for CDMA or GSM. OTA update to 5.1.1 is forced and will lose out all radio functions. CDMA calls still work though. Bootloader is locked, no root and no downgrade back to 5.0.2. Buy Boost variant for a trouble-free usage.
  4. Verizon Moto E has an updated modem also. Xt1528 can go into diag mode via bptools. SPC is 000000. Anyone can try CDMA data programming by bptools and tell us. GSM can be selected by *#*#4636#*#* but GSM network stays on for a mere few seconds and then again no signal. This is for android version 5.1.1. For Boost Moto E users, we can flash twrp recovery after bootloader unlock, rooting breaks both cameras as of now. Only installing twrp will stop any OTA install. OTA may download but not install. The other option for boost/Sprint version is that a custom rom like cm12 or pacman 5.1.1 works superb on CDMA normal sim and any GSM. And the fear of accidental ota is never there. Unfortunately, Verizon does not allow bootloader unlock. Data also stops on US Cellular Moto X v2 xt1093 after ota to 5.1.1. Motorola allows bootloader unlock and root till 4.4.4/5.0.2 on this device.
  5. XT1528 can be downgraded to 5.0.2. Firmwares are available online. Can be flashed by fastboot too. Sent from my Nexus 6 using Tapatalk Edit:- None of the partitions can be downgraded to 5.0.2. It gives a 'failed' error.
  6. Yes fully working on normal SIM/RGERUC SIM and any GSM/HSPA. S6 edge also works fully.
  7. Ok, so I got myself an MTS MTAG 3.1 (Huawei C8511)/(Huawei C8500S China Telecom) which was ruim unclocked but data incompatible for Reliance. This guide works for other various Android non-OMH CDMA handsets as well. This is for those whose APN list is not editable or custom APN cannot be saved.Tested. This is my sole invention and work and is not published anywhere else till now. Use is as per your discretion. 1. Make sure the handset is rooted and busybox and SU are installed and updated. 2. Open Root explorer and allow SU permission if opened for the first time. 3. Delete the cust folder in the root system of the device. This folder carries operator files, multimedia, operator apks and NV traces. 4. goto apns-conf.xml in /system/etc folder 5. Longpress on apns-conf.xml and select open in text editor 6. Once the text editor pops up, scroll down and you will see China Telecom, Sprint, Verizon, M-pcs, Virgin, APNs list. 7. Edit the first APN (default one) with Reliance APN settings we all know here. 8. Keep changing all the APNS till down with various settings. Once can edit the defualt value with usr=net/pass=net and the other ones with mdn/mdn combination. 9. Be careful do not put any extra space or delete any comma or double colon. 10. Click to save and exit, original bak will be backed up automatically. 11. Goto root using root explorer and in system folder locate build.prop 12. Longpress and open using editor 13. Goto ro.cdma.home.operator.numeric= ____ change it to 404 00 and ro.cdma.home.operator.alpha=______ change it to Reliance 14. This can be a little troublesome so bak is imp. Click to save and exit. 15. Reboot. 16. In some devices, the APN list in Network settings gets automatically updated, in some you have to put it manually but now the custom APNs will be saved.
  8. Tata Indicom's Rs 256 recharge now gives a mere 2GB 3G data. It appears they have increased the tariffs. No idea about postpaid 94 plan.

  14. Volt works on Reliance in a few areas wrt second call and normal calling. It is hard to spot those locations, it is possible that it works on Reliance‘s own cell sites. But this operational mode resembles WLL technology. Sent from my Droid Turbo
  15. You have to downgrade to 4.4.4. Ports are visible but locked on above os. If using Note4 Sprint, then direct odin downgrade to NK2. Factory reset from stock recovery. If using s5, then follow the steps above. Sent from my Droid Turbo

  18. I have somewhat found out the UICC call lock in an xml file present in LGTeleService.apk in LG Volt. This file is found in system/priv-app. It indicates restricted second call. I have tested a modified one where this lock file is not present. The modified one is here in this link. The mod one seems to have GSM/CDMA capabilities but GSM not tested. Take a backup/remove original files from system/priv-app. The files are LGTeleService.apk and LGTeleService.odex. http://www.4shared.com/mobile/n27b1AQBba/0B5JEnvV5rooXdEhNNXZ6S1FTUTA.html Rename this linked file to LGTeleService.apk Post your feedback after testing on Reliance and Tata Indicom. Data does not break after this and is not fatal to the filesystem of the device.
