  1. Reliance CDMA Shutting down

So in that situation, go for rcom 4g upgrade, as mostly your balance will be carried forward and may not get lost. And for short term purpose any basic gsm handset worth even 1000 rs can work for voice and data, if not 4g. Later on finish your balance and if not happy with rcom gsm, change. I have never ported out so no idea how much time it tales. But don't think 6 or 7 days..

  3. Reliance CDMA Shutting down

As future of cdma in india is unpredictable, and mostly not there. So, better to upgrade to any gsm, or easiest is to rcom 4g and see, if unsatisfied port out to voda, airtel or idea or so many others...
  4. Movies That You Loved (Or Hated) - Part II

Let me disturb this long lull in this topic. No idea, people stopped watching movies OR they stopped making good movies ?? No entry since 2014/Sep. Saw, SAIRAT yesterday. It's Marathi word for "Wild" Great experience of watching a beautiful love story with lots of twists & turns & a twist !! It's with Eng subtitles in Gujarat, however even if it was not their, effect would have been the same. A new lovely pair has done wonders & I just can't find any equivalent good movies, made in bollywood so far (that's my view, so no debate). Story is simple, however it's been told with extreme simplicity & beautifully. Must watch even if you are not part of Maharastra, as somewhere you will be able to find connect.. Will not write a review here as I am not good at that, but you will have many such reviews upon search !! I don't consider Amir Khan as god, but just a great actor & he has mentioned specially "to go and watch this movie, if you have not". To my knowledge from info avlbl on public domain, he is not a producer, director or anyway connected to making of this movie So...Go and see, if you have not..
  5. Reliance CDMA Network Upgrade To 4G LTE

I am from Gujarat circle & on prepaid, cdma .For us upgrade to 4G is recharge is 75 Rs, they call it FRC, I think. Does anyone know, if that is only possible with at RWW or I can do it on line ? Anyone from the forum member can help me with that ? I have a number of my parents to be given for upgrade, however I am not in their city at presently & they are old to visit RWW, as it is little faraway in A'bad.
  6. Reliance CDMA Shutting down

^^^ 2016. And the way things going on even translating correct number 2016 may result in error !! If things pushed to 2017
  7. Reliance CDMA Shutting down

Your LG 6300 phone is a cdma only phone, so it will not work with 4G network or even any GSM network. If you don't want to upgrade to 4G network, you are not alone !!, there are many in this forum, who don't want to change, but since RCOM is mostly likely to close down CDMA business, upgrade or change is the only option left with RCOM customers . Local stores or even Reliance stores will be of no use, as they have no idea, about the confirmed decisions with date.
  8. Reliance CDMA Network Upgrade To 4G LTE

So, in short message from rcom to their loyal customer base is "damned if you do, damned if you don't do". Question is has TRAI got some control lr guidelines for this kind of change process? Or not.

  10. Reliance CDMA Network Upgrade To 4G LTE

Hello Friends, Any idea what happens to existing CDMA conndections, after RCOM 4G is "ACTUALLY" live ? I have one cdma number of my mom, which I have not done for 4G recharge, not got any new 4G sim. I plan to let it remain cdma sim, as usual. After all these upgrade messed up activity, will I have to stop using cdma or they will automatically take my number into their 4G network ?
  11. Reliance CDMA Network Upgrade To 4G LTE

Got RCOM LTE 4G SIM Card @ home, through BlueDart. Unfortunately, I have already purchased two from RWW few days back. I am on prepaid, Gujarat circle, cdma. This RCOM guyz are mismanaging the change. I had given upgrade request 10 days earlier, so there was no need to send this. In fact, had this been the plan to send sim directly to customer, they should have informed earlier, to avoid hoards of people rushing to RWW for getting their new sim. RWW charges for this, however no Bill / invoice is given for this, so even refund is not expected. By the way, has 4G started ? If not, when ? My cdma sim is working so far.
  12. How to use BSNL CDMA RUIM on imported CDMA phones

Hi Friends, Need to know, plan details of BSNL cdma prepaid, Gujarat circle. Especially data 1x and evdo (if available). I checked their website, but its confusing & gives details related to voice /sms only.
  13. Reliance CDMA Shutting down

Don't scare me bro. I already purchased a handset wo bhi GSM Ab to jald se jald 4G ka intezaar hai. So that I can see their poor service and move on to Vodafone or some other network. Coz i don't have high expectations from Rcom 4G Even, I am also getting little frustrated here with RCOM. We shouldn't end up being RCOM GSM customer, instead of RCOM 4G or Rel Jio eventually !! I have sent that sms, so for me going back to CDMA looks impossible.
  14. Reliance CDMA Shutting down

2017 ??? These guyz are not interested in making money ? Since 2010, they have been spending money on expansion. Itna Investment to Bank ke FD main rakhte to jyada kama lete. Considering lower ARPU of reliance customers compare to other operators.. Lagta hain "Kattapa ne Bahubali ko kyo mara ?" Uska jawab mil jayega, lekin Jio Kab aam janta ke liye chalu hogo woh nahi pata chalega !!
  15. Reliance CDMA Network Upgrade To 4G LTE

Few of the websites, telling that 4G sim upgrade is FREE. However, at Baroda RWW, they have taken 50 Rs for me / SIM. So any members, not got SIM so far, can demand it free. source : http://telecomtalk.info/rcom-cdma-offers-after-4g-upgrade/152741/ by the way, I am from Baroda, Gujarat circle, and contrary to other feedbacks on this forum, I have found RCOM CDMA services running perfectly so far. , voice/sms/1x/evdo, all. In this city. No idea about other parts of state.
  16. Reliance CDMA Shutting down

Can I port in back ? Recently, recharged my cdma prepaid with 75 Rs. They call it LTE recharge. Then, RWW people gave me a 4G sim card & sent an SMS with 4G sim card details to 1299. So, I understand, when 4G is active, my CDMA will stop. Now, I get some indication that cdma may last little long. So, can I Take Back my Port Out request ? Any info ?
  17. Reliance CDMA Network Upgrade To 4G LTE

RCOM has missed a real opportunity to bring their customer into 4G fold, in a slow gradual manner by their choice & not by force. Like starting 4G quickly, keeping CDMA live for 3 to 6 months & keep requesting / enticing CDMA customers with good data offers to switch to 4G & only moderately mentioning that it will be closed in next 6 months. This would have given most of their customers a comfort, time to think & decide and act. Now, what as customer, I am feeling is I was in cdma stable one day & next morning, owner started pushing all of us out of that known stable to another unknown one, without any intimation / time to settle. People have more choices now a days with MNP, so what RCOM has done is big blunder. I have no data to support, but just a guess, that probably at the end of all this RCOM may loose their 5 to 20% loyal customers, who were with CDMA all those years and now, suddenly betrayed by their service provider. Today, got 2, 4G sim card, from web world, but felt like I "had" to buy this not I "should" buy this. No one knew at RWW, when 4G will start & CDMA will close. So, not only customers, even RCOM has not taken their partners also on Board... We will all get used to new things & forget older one eventually, but CDMA was a one of the real nice part of our life, for many years !!! Using CDMA (lately a rare service in most of the groups) while rest of all the guyz were on GSM, gave me a feel that I m owning a Macbook Air with Mac OS, in guyz surrounded by Windows. Long live CDMA
  18. Smartphones that will work on Reliance 4G

If your parents have used Rcdma for voice clarity only, then please port out to some other network as Rcom 4G will use pathetic RGsm for voice calls. Else wait for jio and enjoy good voice clarity using volte, but no luck for feature phones AFAIK...sent from my Lenovo Vibe P1 using Tapatalk If your parents have used Rcdma for voice clarity only, then please port out to some other network as Rcom 4G will use pathetic RGsm for voice calls. Else wait for jio and enjoy good voice clarity using volte, but no luck for feature phones AFAIK...sent from my Lenovo Vibe P1 using Tapatalk Absolutely with KanagaDeepan, either go for Volte or move out of RGSM. RGSM will be big time torture. Regards Sent from my NX505J using Tapatalk Yes, parents were very happy using cdma feature phone. Absolute clarity in calls.& NO CALL DROPS EVER. (recently, there is some fight going on in court for this call drop issue, which I never knew existed.) However, as cdma is switching off, I will have no choice but to go to r-gsm first & then, move to another network if not satisfied. May even give a try to Volte later on..Let's see. Thanks for all the replies.
  19. Does Redmi Note 3 support VoLTE ? Asking, since somewhere in this post /forum is is mentioned that it doesn't support VoLTE. However, checked one RN3 phone of a friend, in that VoLTE option was showing in settings somewhere... btw, I have booked on Amazon y'day. but not shipped so far..
  20. Smartphones that will work on Reliance 4G

I know, this post is for compatibility of smartphones with 4G network, however, my question is "what about dumbphone ?" I mean, basic handset with keypad. Will they work with 4G network, especially for voice / sms ? Reason is my parents, who are on cdma network since long because of the call quality & not really for data. They use basic handset with keypad, no touch phones. So, do I need to specially search for compatible handsets or any gsm device can do ?
  21. Reliance CDMA Network Upgrade To 4G LTE

^^^ Yes, planning to buy from paytm, however gave actual product link itself, since on ecommerce sites, sometimes information given is wrong. However, the question is will it work Rcom 4G & later on Rel Jio 4G ? that's where the confusion lies & I don't think 4G sims are available in Baroda, at least to contact & check.
  22. Reliance CDMA Network Upgrade To 4G LTE

Hello Friends, I am on prepaid, cdma, gujarat circle. received sms from Reliance to upgrade to 4g by dialing some number. More or less my LG G Vista (CDMA) is unlikely to work on these, hence planning to buy this handset, however not clear if (a) will it work on Rcom (ADAG) 4g network ? and ( also work on Reliance (MDA) Jio 4G network. https://www.asus.com/in/Phone/ZenFone-Max-ZC550KL/ If any one can help me out, I will be grateful. Needless to say, I own, all the responsibilities 100% for my decision, based on any advice given in good faith.
  23. Please Suggest: Beautiful phone for Ladies

what about iphone 5S ? Now, apple has officially reduced prices to to half. Little more than 20k, but again. Iphone is an iphone.
  24. @cooladitya007, Also, you may try one any of following two method for having WiFi signals throughout the home without buying a 3G router (cost may be around 1000-1500 Rs) 1) Use an old working Android cdma phone with WiFi hotspot feature. I had one old HTC Rhyme cdma phone in past, in which SD slot was damaged so camera was unable to function due to no SD card storage. I started another cdma connection on this phone with mobile net plans & continuously running on hotspot mode & on charger. Benefit was no spending money on router (if you have an old phone already) & Also, wifi range was surprizingly good. Only problem was since phone was on continuous charging, battery went dead & sometimes, phone will switch off automatically. 2) Use your Laptop as WiFi hotspot with dongle. Connect your dongle to laptop & start internet. Install a software available on net with a name "SeventhGate" This software will connect your dongle & wifi hardware of your laptop. That way you will have wifi signals from Laptop, that you can use for all your phone/tablet other laptop etc. I have tried both these options & both works great. Only issue with 2nd method is dongle internet connection drops sometimes & then you have to open your laptop & connect again. However, recently, I have found out solution for that problem also. Kindly contact me through PM if help is required for the same.
  25. You can try this option. 1. Unlock the BSNL-evdo based dognle to work with reliance cdma. 2. If 1 is not possible, buy such unlocked dongle (max 1000 Rs) for cdma. 3. Use reliance cdma evdo in this dongle for accessing internet. 4. Buy 3G router like this TL-MR3420 (http://goo.gl/pCbzKb) or DIR-506L-3G (http://goo.gl/FNL9Nh) 5. User this router for the dongle & have internet on wifi for all the devices. 6. Select prepaid plans from reliance cdma - rajasthan. 246 Rs - 3 GB, 147 Rs - 3 GB & son on for a month. 7. Or select any other pospaid plans, depending on your use/requirement. I have used this combination in fast & in Baroda, Gujarat, average speed I get is 1.2 Mbps & sometimes even 2 Mbps. I have tried both this routers & both works well. It automatically connects to net if connection is dropped. Hope it helps.
